theres literally nothing to look forward to for next years padres season. attendance is going to be non existent and the FO will say "you guys don't come to games so we can't afford any players", +%@# the padres. straight up.

Who? Gonzalez? No way. He's ten times the player Ryan Howard is. In relative baseball terms, Gonzalez will get whatever he deserves, which is quite a bit. For the Red Sox, Gonzalez is worth Teixiera money, no question about it.

Exactly.  Howard can't lick the skills Gonzo has.  Not to mention Gonzo is younger. 

Looks like the Yankees have to retaliate with their own signing this week.
