RIP George Floyd

I agree with you about what they're doing is calculated. Bill Gates flat out talks about population control in his talks. Dude is literally telling his plans for population control For everyone to hear yet I don’t hear much about that.

So it's the racist job to do something about the current situation, I see. since it's all their doing.

100%

A man who hates me and views me as inferior will not be sympathetic to my plight. We’re battered and arrested for even daring to protest a murder. “Good cops” in the streets shoulder to shoulder with these people. This is on them, enablers, fence sitters, and the willfully blind and silent.

^^ I totally agree.. We are fighting the same fight. I hope you caught my edit.
Ultimately I think we're beyond the idealism of something like rehab

Ideally, yes you would want to give everyone fair trial and a right to be reformed etc. But again this pattern of abuse of power and the evil system continually being exposed.. on camera no less.. nothing changing... idealism goes out the window. The system isn't dealing in fairness or idealism or even-footing so why should we continue to be naive and overly optimistic?

Idk if anyone cares but if you want to hear people call in listen to go 95.3 online.

wiz’s dj has a radio show here and people are calling in all afternoon.

My grandfather was a cop, RIP. He was one of the few that did his job with integrity. Hell even the communities he policed looked out for him. I remember him bringing back snacks and random things people would give him during his patrols.

Your last sentence hits home fam. My grandfather stood up for what's right but in the wake of corruption the changes he tried to do fell to deaf ears. I even remember him losing a job because of him speaking out, luckily he was able to land another position at that time.

Most people are scared and don't know what to do since the powers controlling the judicial system has a strong pull. Everyone here talking but once your job your lively hood is in jeopardy lets see how you act.

I don't think we should at all. I can tell you I am way beyond reason at this point. I am on the radical end of the spectrum when I comes to what I think we should do with certain people.

I hear ya loud and clear.

How can we change those racist people's heart/spirit? Is there no way to change those hardened hearts, that eliminating them is the solution?

What do you suggest is the proper move to make?

Not worrying about rehab, for one. Extreme measures would be the only avenue to real change, it may not happen in our lifetime. Mobilization and cohesive strategy from city to city state to state would be a must

I don't want to delve too much into that, I'm just stating which attitudes aren't relevant nor productive to this entire situation. This includes compassion or trying to in anyway defend the cop or the system

yeah, I heard lake street it all shut off now.
I haven’t seen it yet, have you?

there are a lot of mom n pop shops there for people who don’t know. This plus corona might be the end of them.

peaceful protest doesn’t work but you gotta leave the small business owners out of this.
Some great ethnic food on Lake St.
Hope all those business make it through all of this.

I am happy he did his job the way it should be done and it’s great he stood up for what was right. Treating communities as those to be protected vs making it your job to hunt down criminals is the difference in proper neighborhood policing.

You have to take losses sometimes for what you believe in. If you stifle what is right to keep yourself in good standing you are a coward, an enabler, and an accomplice. I will never tell my child I shut my mouth and turned my head in the face of injustice.

My livelihood has been in jeopardy for my beliefs and actions before, from things I’ve said in response to veiled racism to actively protesting in my city. If it weren’t for the praise I’ve received for my work from leaders and people in my state I would be unemployed. I will get to the money somehow, I’m not worried about that. We have the hustler spirit.

You do what is right no matter what. I spoke with my grandpa years ago about activism and civil service. He told me to take a stronger position or role if I could. I told him I was afraid of what could happen to me as a result.

He asked me “what more can they do?” and that was it. I’m willing to take the L for my people and what I believe in. I do not fault those that don’t agree but the more people willing to take losses for the long term goal the better. You cannot change the system by ignoring it.

You really think more people dying will solve anything? In your case, all the so called racist police officers? Please enlighten me on how that will fix anything because I don't see your point of view.
Of course you don’t see my point of view. As long as the oppressor and his supporters are alive? The oppressed will always be in danger. Those people need to die, period. Nothing will change unless they are gone.

You're right, I've also said you constantly saying all white people are racist is in fact racist.

But I refuse to let you make another thread about you so let's stay on subject.
What? About me? This thread is about the injustice faced by Black people, not about white racists who want to voice their opinions on what Black people should do, like you. All white people are racist due to the system that supports you. The only solution is for the system that supports you, to be destroyed, and for all of those who support the system of white supremacy, to be eliminated. That is the ONLY solution to all of this.
