Living in the suburbs with close proximity to the city>>>

I live 15 mins from DC, but im looking outside to the woods with deer, foxes, raccoons and ****. Silence.
i used to live in Foggy Bottom and around west end right behind the Spanish embassy, and it was quiet most of the time at night. it didnt get busy until you walked near Dupont. its just certain areas with nightlife that get hectic. Downtown DC after say 9 pm is actually a bit ghost townish.

suburban silence scares me.
