That is never the issue with Hollywood. They like to stick with what works. We as humans never let go of the past and always think it is better than the current. They are banking on your nostalgia knowing you'd most likely give it a chance because it was done before. To prove to your self the past was better you would likely pay to see this movie on release day.

Robocop is one of my favorite franchises (3 was kinda weak) from my childhood. The first video game for NES is damn near impossible to beat without the Game Genie.
