For years been running in shoes not even made for running lol, went ahead and ordered some Triumph 17's. Glad they've gotten good reviews in here

A lot of y'all are insane man, I thought I was in good shape (consistent 5 miles in 40-41 min). I want to start going to 10K status and see if I can get below 50 min consistently. I've done it a few times but want to hammer it down

Also if I didn't live on the beach I don't think I'd even get close to my times. Only thing that keeps me going is seeing the water lol

Finally did it guys. 8 miles under an hour. Average pace was 6:55 with the front end between 6:30-6:40 and the mid stretch slowed me down on an incline before finishing with 6:44. The previous page i had ran 8 miles in about an hour and 30 some seconds averaging 7:30+ per mile. Cutting down 5 minutes from my previous time running this is a MASSIVE accomplishment for me. I'm so stoked.

What kind of shoes or boots do you wear? Just got back into running 7 months ago. Not fast at all, but I do run 2.5 miles nonstop everyday. Worried about winter. Don't wanna gain this weight back. Need something to run in the snow and wet grounds.

Anyone been on Nikeplus long enough to remember “runviking”?
2013 was the year and it was a double contest, first a vote for the best idea for a running adventure, and then a mileage contest to send the runners with the most miles in a certain timeframe to go on that adventure, and they also got hooked up with the latest gear at the time, which included Nike Frees, but also the first iteration of the Kigers and Wildhorses. Awesome idea.
I ran a couple 230-mile months but came up shy about 10 miles from getting to go.
Did anyone on here happen to make it?

Thats it for another year of #NTrunning.

More running in 2020 than in 2019. Not sure what 2021 looks like in terms of distance and totals.

I did get a Garmin Fenix 6x in December. I’m enjoying the suggested workouts, but struggle on slow runs cause I’m not use to running slow!

Joined this UA 100 miles challenge late in November. Im at 91.91 miles right now and need to get to 100 before the new year.

You folks are killing it with 1,500+ miles for the year!

Here I thought I was doing good with 700km. Will need to step it up in 2021

I wish my NRC app was more stable. A lot of times I ran the app thru my Apple Watch Nike edition and the miles wouldn’t sync up with the app. It was very frustrating

thats the exact reason why i stopped using it and just used the one in the app, its not consistent and it was annoying

probably didnt help that i had the 7+ then, the airpods pro would also bug out once or twice a week on the same phone but once i upgraded to the 12PM the problem on airpods pro was non-existent

i might give the apple watch a try again but only if i could get it for a good discount

never had issues with miles logging, but was tired of the syncing being inconsistent

reason why i transitioned to a garmin and just linked my accounts. been smooth sailing since then with the exception of miles being off by 0.01 but would recommend the switch if you do put in good mileage and want to "enhance" that running experience

Which garmin watch would you suggest?
