Smoak's OBP and his selectivity at the plate is finally panning out. He's going from getting seeing-eye-singles and walks to hits on 0-2 or 1-2 counts and putting the ball in the gaps/over the fence when he gets his pitches. All part of the learning process so I'm glad it's starting to show.
