SEATTLE SEAHAWKS THREAD

Yeah, frustrating to see Geno and DK still not on same page often. Grubb really done after this season.

As soon as they hit mid-field on their last drive, why not run it, start working the clock? But no, kept throwing and took a sack.

Looking like another 9-8 year

I'm a broken record at this point and Geno does have really good moments but I'm really ready to move on but there aren't real young options available which sucks

team isn't good enough to win with the dumb mistakes from everywhere else

Still gotta finish the season but Mike and staff I think did good 1st year

Was at the game today and there weren't that many Vikes fans lol. Those damn penalties really hurt the Hawks and Geno can be so good in moments but then look lost other times.

Still small chance to get in but not holding my breath. Regardless of how next 2 games go I think they should move on from Geno.

There are no words to describe that performance. Not to take away anything from the defense, but it was against the Bears. But hey, I was expecting them to make Caleb look like Tom Brady tonight. Glad that didn't happen. It's a funny feeling. This is the team we root for, but at the same time, do we really want to see them get in the playoffs and embarrass themselves?

Welp now that season is basically done what do y'all think of Macdonald's first season? Some room for improvement but I'd say it was alright.

Defensively, they've looked pretty decent, especially towards the 2nd half of the season... but the problem remains with the O-line.
Geno... lots of talk about getting rid of him, but are there better options in the market? He can be great at times, but those odd mistakes and decision-making can comeback and haunt him. At the same time, I think a lot of those bad decisions came as a result of being under pressure cuz of the O-line? You'd hope that giving him a bit more protection and time, he'd do a bit better?

I think MM was solid this season, but personnel (or lack thereof) remains part of the issue. If Schneider continues failing to value the O-Line, drafting them earlier or signing via FA, then I'm not sure how they expect to fulfill their offensive goals.

MM seems very process-oriented and has a way shorter leash than Pete ever did. Will be interesting to see his influence more on molding this team into what he envisions as well. As for Grubb, I think I've seen enough to not have to see anymore.

Hearing this could be Locketts last game as a Hawk. Really hope he finds a good fit with another team next season if this is the case.

I wouldn't be surprised if this is his last game ever. He's more real estate agent than NFL player at this point, and passed the torch to JSN. He's an all-time Seahawk, and will be in the Ring of Honor someday.

Bam Bam Kam story. Long, but I had a great conversation with him today.

Posted up at Legion early this afternoon to get some work done and Kam was there. He was doing his thing, then randomly sat a few seats down from me to eat lunch. The restaurant carries a few of my products, so I introduced myself, and reminded him of which products were mine, and he said he appreciated me saying hello, as he makes sure to know all of his vendors. I'd met him before, but it was when the restaurant opened.

After small talk, I said "I have ONE question about your career, and I know nobody has asked this, ever. Can I ask it?" He said "sure!" I asked him to confirm if he was the emergency QB if Russ and the backup QB went down in a game. He legit got excited and said "YEP! I WAS!"

The answer got even better, as he told me his entire story (even though he didn't have to): He was recruited to VaTech as a QB, but he knew his destiny was not at that position if he wanted to be a pro athlete. He was just the best athlete at his high school, and was the QB (common story). He said that when Tyrod Taylor showed up to Tech, he was, like, "yeah, THAT'S your QB", so he changed positions in order to set him up for pro success.

He also said that the QB background allowed him to be a defensive QB in the secondary because he saw the field differently.

That's dope!

Watching the CCGs, the Seahawks are so far away from getting to that level, I'm not sure you can see it right now. All four of those teams would crush the Seahawks by 3+ scores, easily, including the one that did lose by 3+ scores. Geno is nice and all, but the Seahawks aren't making any noise, anytime soon.
