The latest, from Pittsburgh Post-Gazette beat writer Dejan Kovacevic, is that the Giants are going to take a look at the knee of Sanchez before a deal is confirmed, but it could be done soon.

If we don't win this game it's going to be bad for the momentum with the Phillies coming in. They're going to run over us. How can we expect tobeat them when we can't score off Zach Duke? They just got Cliff Lee and have 4 lefties in their rotation. If we don't win today, we'll be lucky towin 1 of 4. Pedro Feliz would be our clean up hitter in this lineup.
