What did Sandoval do? I didn't watch the end of the game. Still, it's Howry
. I don't expect much out of him, especially when the Giants have a chance to win.

I could not disagree more. An error is an error, whether it's on a foul ball or not. I don't see how making a person hit a foul ball islucky.Originally Posted by ericescobar

Oh. I still don't think it would have mattered with Pujols coming up though. If they brought in Howry because of Pujols then they wereprobably going to pitch to him. As long as the Giants take the series then a loss is fine. Hopefully they come through tomorrow.Originally Posted by aec23

The time to free John Bowker is NOW!

I just want to see if he's got anything left in the tank.

I really wanted to see lewis succeed but that ship has sailed. The Giants need to give up on that experiment.

Probably out of all those guys you listed I hated Lance Niekro the most simply because he took play time away from Snow.Originally Posted by dland24
I hope Im wrong, but I see John Bowker as another AAAA player that the Giants have always had in their system. Too good for AAA, not nearly good enough for the bigs......(Todd Linden, Lance Niekro, Jason Ellison, Daniel Ortmeier, Tony Torcato, Damon Minor.....I could go on forever! Oh yeah....and FRED LEWIS.)
I hope I am wrong about Bowker though. He had some serious holes in his swing when he was here last.

Okay Mr. Mad, I'll bite. Cain gave up 1 run in the 1st. Since then, he was in machine mode. How many 1-2-3 innings did he have? He had a few.By the time he got pulled his pitch count was in the 80's I believe. I'm sure he would still have enough in the tank to continue to shut out the Cards. What I'm suggesting should have happened was that Cain stall until our offense can score a run or two. Yes, Lewis came in and doubled, eventually scoringon a sac fly, but we did lose the game by giving up another run. Even without hindsight, I would have liked to see Cain hold the fort. He's used tothrowing tons of pitches. He has done this throughout his career.Originally Posted by FRANCHISE 55

About Cain, yeah his ERA is the most important thing, right?? Are you serious? You're trying to win the damn game not better someone's stats. At that point in the game, outs were at a premium. They most likely do not score in the 8th inning if Cain hits. Since you're so into stats, it would've hurt Cain since he most likely would've gotten the loss instead of a no decision.
