Again I said the definition in the dictionary needs to be changed

How does that turn into "wanting to be on the other side" and all that other stuff?

And Yea I report now @blastercombo because when I addressed y'all straight up I got banned and meth tell me that's how to handle it

I think its suspect all the pseudo sexual jabs y'all take too "handjobking" sounds like repression to me

First of all, what makes you think that was even directed at you? Secondly, how is that even shot??

How is it not when it come right after dude quoting me and in response to that quote?

Don't play now like it was just a random comment having to do with the op and not the quote

And its a shot because its insinuating that I'm not sincere or authentic but selfishly motivated

That's a shot at my character

This is what happens when you have designers from Italy, one of the most racist/ignorant countries in Europe, running your company

Have you been there? Until you've been there, don't speak on what you dont know about. Don't let the fake italians in the states and the sopranos have you thinking you cant flourish as a minority in Europe/Italy.

There are people who run with the literal definition of racism, because it gives them a chance to claim it, even though white people created and then invented the actions behind it. These are the if I punch you and you punch me back, I am going to call the police types. This is how it worked during Jim Crow, and even now with Starbucks employees calling the cops on Black men within their midst. White women who call the police on Black people when they are enjoying themselves in the park, who told you black people to enjoy the freedoms that only I can enjoy?! It is supposedly racist, because Black people are being black and happy, without the approval or inclusion of whites.

This is racist to them.

White people invented racism in America. White people invented Jim Crow in America so they can enjoy white privilege. Now that many Black people are looking away from White people, those who have created laws and then continuously abuse those laws against us, now they want to redefine what being a racist is.

They will take the literal definition, with a side of foam.

Flourishing as a minority, and then as Black man in italy are two different things.
I will use Soccer as an example and yes, I have been there, several times. The sistine chapel is also one of the most racist and sexist depictions I have ever seen.

Italy has a pretty well documented history of racism. Laws against Italian men living with black women (they called it "hyrbid unions"), Nazi ideology, anti-immigrant ideology, anti-semitic ideology, far right groups, racially motivated attacks (ie Ahmed Ali Giama) and so on and so forth...all carrying over to present day.

Flourishing ≠ racism doesn't exist

And you didn't receive love in Italy? Rome? Florence? Pisa? Etc? And you think it is because of the color of your skin? I'm black and received nothing but love. And it wasn't because I was spending a ton of money or believed to be American (As such, Europeans don't assume at first glance black people are American, but instead African since Africa is in such close proximity) Plus the fact there are lots of black people there. I was deep deep in the heart of Italy, far removed form the touristy places and got love and dinner invites to grandma's house.

briefly touch on the racist and sexist parts in the sistine chapel. i'm interested in your thoughts on that.

I'm not saying it doesnt happen or is impossible as it happens here, I'm saying you can't take american media at face value. It's things you have to experience for yourself to see if it as brash and reckless as you hear. American media will have you thinking Africa is all huts and aids and poor people. But we know that's bs also. Media in different places will always tear down other places to make itself shine brighter.

I gotta see the numbers after these incidents, they must be good because it seems on purpose at this point.
Thats where Im at with it at this point...I assume all this is for attention, to have the brand names in the headlines for a lor min

This type of experience can occur in this country as well too though.

right, but even if you haven't directly been touched by racism here, you can't avoid it unless you actively try to ignore all of the stories and any instances of it. I'm well aware of when things dont feel on level. So I pay close attention to my interactions over there and how I'm treated when I shop or come in contact with people and the surroundings. I'm definitely not saying things dont happen, racism has stretched everywhere, endless reach; I'm just saying, as a black man, the pressure I feel from it is definitely lessened over there, and not just me but people I've traveled with, friends and fam have echoed the same sentiment. We feel easier over there. Can go in the major stores and nobody follows us around, barraging us if we need 'help', but then the associate at Cartier will have no problem letting us try on the eternity bracelets, screwing them on and walking off to help someone else and letting us 'think about it'. Maybe they do a better job of managing the news as well and filtering, but the stories are not all over the news either of cops beating on black guys like it is here.

The overt racism lies in imagery both in the sistine chapel and elsewhere. Bananas being thrown at soccer players in Europe doesn’t match up well with your experience either. I guess it is some of the pent up anger about Hannibal and his crew, leaving behind a reminder of what was in Italy years before.

OK tough guy u got it

Not gonna waste my time anymore don't quote me againagain jus put me on block

So ^ That was directed at me? I know it wasn't(in hindsight). I was piggy backing off what peteweezy peteweezy said, but it wasn't directed towards you. In fact, I'm pretty sure I've shared that sentiment numerous times. I don't even think you've ever said anything of the sort.

This same thing happened to the player in the red sox stadium. So racism among foolish sports fans definitely isnt mutually exclusive.

no tough guy was for peteweezy peteweezy

i asked you how do you go from wanting the dictionary definition changed to "you only want to be on the other side"?

and you cant really expect to me to know what "sentiment youve shared numerous of times on here" right?

its not like in my head i know everything @tr1ll ll ever posted

Tough guy wasn't for me vitcim. Nothing I said was tough and or something I wouldn't say right to your face in the same circumstances offline. I didn't curse at you and call you no crazy disrespectful names so spare me that victim stuff fam. You grown man acting like some little defenseless weak person over nothing. Stop it

Because black people say racist ****, and then try to say they can't be racists, falling back on that old definition.
This was my whole point and dude act like I said some super wild stuff. That's when I became indoctrinated and using old definitions in the dictionary according to him

Because black people say racist ****, and then try to say they can't be racists, falling back on that old definition.

no black ppl say PREJUDICED things not racist

ppl like to fall back on that definition because it makes it equal opportunity, ignoring institutional and power dynamics

the fact that the only thing you can refer to is what black ppl say and not what true racist power or institutional basis black can be racist says a lot

Yes, I've been there/interacted with people from there a lot, as I'm from a neighboring country :stoneface:Spent 1-3 months in Southern Europe every year until I graduated from college, and now I go back for a week or so annually

You wrote this entire essay about "they didn't treat me well just because I'm American" which is the exact opposite of reality. People there can immediately tell who is an American or not. Are you completely oblivious to what happens to Africans there on a daily basis?

Go look up how Africans are treated by their politicians and how frequently hate crimes against African immigrants occur, especially after the election of Salvini
