So whatever happened to JB shutting down?!?

So about a year or year and a half ago it pretty much confirmed that JB was gonna stop making retros in the near future soon after the 23's. At least thatswhat i remember. Any one know the status of this?!? Personally i wouldn't mind cause i hate all this package stuff and and JB is NOT what it used to be atall. Don't get me wrong, i love jays and buy them hardcore but only before 2005 and earlier. I can only think of about 2 or 3 worth buying after 2005. IHATE Gentry Humphrey. I might get flamed for this but o well... btw JB HAS fallen off and all these 6 rings suck!

if it was suppose to shutdown in 2005 and it's now 2008what do u think??....They not goinin anywhere for a long time cause they are the hottest shoes!!....Even thoughtthe quality has gone down we still have had some decent releases....As far as the six rings and fusions and all that crap goes....JUST DON'T BUY IT!!! if some people like to buy those shoes then let them.....And you have to thinkabout it from a business stand point if JB releases all of their hott Color ways then what will they have in the future?....With the quality issue I agree butmaybe retros quality suck compared to the O.G.'s is because they aren't meant for hoopin just wearin...Im not defending the bad quality just trying tolook at it from their stand point

The bulk of the money comes from the retros, shutting them down would be like McDonalds not making the Big Mac. You keep the Big Mac, and introduce new itemslike wraps, iced Coffee, the Big and Tasty, and the McRib. In JB's case you got the retros, Team Jordans, .5 , Spizikes, Dub-Zeros (coming back in 09), andthe Fusions.
