Sports Betting thread vol. 2

I'm not too sure what happened to the old sports betting thread. Mods, if this is against the rules, lock it up!
Anyway I recently got more into sports betting. I have been practicing on this centsports.com website which gives you $0.10 to start with and you build from there. I take a lot of wildchances but when it comes down to it I feel like I know what I'm doing.
My boy started here, got up to $100 and then cashed out, and started betting his own money at other websites. Dude was undisciplined and took heavy L's tho
 
Can a mod give a reason why we can't have a thread????

There's always discussions about poker in general, and tips on going to casino's..

we all can go to vegas tomorrow and place bets on games.

there's nothing technically wrong with it - but i'm pretty sure the mods will cite something along the lines of The Federal Wire Act:

Whoever being engaged in the business of betting or wagering knowingly uses a wire communication facility for the transmission in interstate or foreign commerce of bets or wagers or information assisting in the placing of bets or wagers on any sporting event or contest, or for the transmission of a wire communication which entitles the recipient to receive money or credit as a result of bets or wagers, or for information assisting in the placing of bets or wagers, shall be fined under this title or imprisoned not more than two years, or both

You'd have to make a very loose connection to attach us to such a statement - and we could easily make a set of ground rules that kept us safe(like not talking about where to place wagers online) - but since we're not engaged in the business of it, I think it's a real stretch.

Still - you know how they like to play it safe here (look at the music forum)... I started a board awhile back with the idea of hopefully talking sportsbetting, but it never really stuck.

A forum I really like and use is therxforum.com.....a lot of good betting advice in there, along with writeups from former bookies. There is a lot of garbagein there too, but a LOT of good stuff.

Gotta go with the Under on the Cubs/Whitesox, but I have the whitesox on the moneyline

Also the under on the Mariners/Dodgers

FWIW I put 20 bucks on the US vs Spain and got 180 back. Will put 20 vs Brazil and see what happens.
 
Built my $ up to $200 from $100, but started betting $15/game and got destroyed...Down to $99....
