In my experience, the whole "People are too critical" is just a defense when others don't like a movie you like
It's okay to be critical.. it doesn't mean you can't enjoy movies.. or that you're necessarily being unfair or illogical.. it might just mean you find faults in a movie. If you think someone is being ridiculous with their criticisms or "looking for things to dislike" then the opposite end of the spectrum is true.. you can be overzealous and exaggerate a movie's positive qualities while looking past the obvious and legitimate issues.
Can also be seen as patterns.
Seen a lot of people pound new releases, then hype Blade, or some 90's cartoon that "did it better".
Next movie comes out, same comments.
Then you have the comments like Clark Kent shouldn't wear glasses, or Peter Parker lookin for info on his parents is stupid. But it's ok when Bruce Wayne's parents are shown on screen, or Tony Stark does something pointless, but he's cool.
Iono, guess it just makes for good debate in these threads.
