You're saying it actually has a higher budget than those movies?ASM2's budget is so high. To put it into perspective, TDKR's was 250, MoS's was 225, and the Avengers was 220.

Bad word of mouth destroyed this movie's box office run
I'm on a personal mission to slander every comic book movie now. I'm so ready to sink my teeth into DoFP
The people who diss the ASM movies probably aren't going to like DoFP. You probably won't find anyone defending that movie on this board either. I bet if you go after the Batman Vs Superman movie you'll get the reaction you want
Garfield's Spiderman will never show up in the Avengers. There's too much greed on all sides involved for that to happen. There will be a lot of fighting over how much of a cut Sony gets out of the Avengers movie.
What if, bare with me one this, Spider-Man is but isn't in the movie? Think about this, during that last battle with the aliens in avengers what is cap is surround and gets hit by one of their grenades, then when he shakes off the effects of the blast he sees that all the aliens are webbed up with a note attached, "you're welcome - from your friendly neighborhood.....". The nerdgasims would leave the movies smelling like the ocean.
What if they made a scene like that but in avengers 2? I think it's be cool
That's exactly why it's never going to happen. Sony needs Disney way more than the other way around. The Avengers don't need no helpLet's be real, A2 is bound to be the #1 highest grossing movie of all time and that's WITHOUT mention of a spiderman cameo
Sony is betting big all right, with more than $400 million in production and worldwide marketing costs riding on the superhero’s back. The studio is banking on the sequel to out-earn its 2012 predecessor, “The Amazing Spider-Man,” whose $752 million global take was less than the B.O. of each of the three “Spider-Man” pics that starred Tobey Maguire.

Just how big does “Spider-Man 2,” directed by Marc Webb and starring Andrew Garfield and Emma Stone, need to be? Pascal, who declined to be interviewed, has set a goal of $1 billion worldwide, say sources. Just 18 movies have minted that kind of loot, most recently Disney’s animated “Frozen,” Disney/Marvel’s “The Avengers” and “Iron Man 3” — and Sony’s James Bond movie “Skyfall.”

It's just the word of mouth that kills me. All these early reviews for DoFP are calling it "Avengers with mutants" and I'm 99.9% sure that movie will suck let alone be anything close to Avengers or it's legendary source material but because these early reviews are praising it, people will brainwash themselves to love it (just like Cap 2) but spiderman was just so perfect man, I mean they killed Gwen Stacy dog. What more could people ask for from Spiderman??
