Saw it last night in 4DX. Was literally just me and my gf in the whole theater.
Disney really botched this trilogy but I went in with no expectations other than to just have fun. And I did. But with that said I did not like the plot very much. The fact that they brought back Palp just shows they really couldn’t agree on any other ideas. Vader’s turn back to the lightside back in ROTJ was all for nothing. It really cheapens the narrative by bringing him back. I literally rolled my eyes when I heard his voice in the the first trailer months back

And also, if Palpatine was sitting back waiting for the right moment to reveal himself, where did he get all the resources and manpower to create that incredible fleet? Those were thousands of star destroyers and each ship has a crew in the thousands. We’re all those crew members just sitting idle for years and years waiting for palpatines orders/commands??? Hard to believe they are just sitting still in exogul this whole time.

TLJ was really just a waste of time. TFA got us excited about DISNEY’s Star Wars and although it was a ANH rehash they gave us some characters to look forward to and excited questions going into the new trilogy. But in the end it was all rushed and just a mess.

For example
Captain Phasma=awesome character design that ultimately played little or no role with a quick death

Snoke= who is he? How did he come into power? Nah he doesn’t matter, easily killed in TLJ

And other questions they didn’t care to address like how did Anakins lightsaber end up in Maz temple? Why is it calling to Rey if she isn’t Skywalker blood?
Who really are Reys parents and why didn’t Palpatine want to be close to his direct son/daughter instead of killing them and waiting for his granddaughter instead?

Fun action packed movie, but overall lackluster trilogy imo

Damn just saw that #thankyourianjohnson has been trending.

I would like to thank my guy lamekilla lamekilla for getting the ball rolling on this.

Same way he got it in the prequels? Tricked some world governments out of their money and resources? Maybe he was stashing resources on Exogul during his entire reign as emperor? Gotta have contingency plans just in case your Sith apprentice betrays you.

Don't know why ppl care so much about the lightsaber and who they call out too.

Rey is unnaturally strong in the force so it called out to her. Maybe Anakin's saber wanted to tell her she's a Palpatine.

This really is a question that would be answered in an entirely different movie/series/comic/novel.

Even if we had hints of Sidious in TFA, no way I expect this movie to go in to detail about his child, that son/daughter breaking away from him.

Lets just say he intended to use his own son/daughter but he failed and they ran away, lived their own life, had a kid and then Sidious came for the grandchild so they went on the run.

Is that trending sarcastically or are ppl really thankful?

Cuz I see thank you JJ is trending too and thank you Rian was tied to some donation? 8o

disney better off making a palpatine disney + series rather than an obi wan series

palpatine has 30 years to explain the events leading up to rise of skywalker and his return

obi wan stuck as a hermit on a sand planet

it’s explained: he has a cult following and they’re doing whatever it takes to get him back on top or put a new figure head in place that he can control and consolidate all the dark power in.

He’s galactic Mitch McConnell

Clone Wars is the Palpatine series. Just finished all six seasons.

Might legit be the most well-written character in all of Star Wars. So much greatness with his story.

I don’t even wanna get my hopes up that Disney will ever touch him and will consider this just a nod.

One of the better twists I've experienced in gaming was the reveal in KOTOR.

Merry Christmas. Enjoy the Holiday.

(So dated and bad. )
But just like RoS, can't complain and critique unless actually seen.
And RoS just ok. Better than TLJ. They went with fan service and the safe version to end Saga. Sequel and Prequel Trilogies were never for our generation that enjoyed Originals.

Fanbase is vindicated in its rage. This was murder by negligence. I don’t think I’ve experienced a weirder feeling in a film than the celebration amongst the resistance at the end. 3 movies in I literally had no idea who the characters were or exactly what they were celebrating.
