Been doing all my lifts in just running shoes and stuff and my strength coach recommended I get some weightlifting shoes. I looked online seems like the adipowers are the leading shoe to get but they are pretty expensive are they worth it?

Check Marshall's. I grabbed a grey pair for like $20 a few weeks ago. The had like every size, but none of them were in order. I spent like 30 minutes trying to find my size lol.

Powercleans , split jerks , squats front squatsWhat exercises are you going to use them for and can I ask what weights you are at? I personally went barefoot for a long time till I was up in weight and bought nikes weightlifting shoe. Romaloes 2. They do the job but didn't 'need' them like I said until I was pulling and squating more weight.
Powercleans , split jerks , squats front squats
powerclean , split jerk and frontsquats all around 300 range, backsquats upwards of 400

Ya get some shoes haha that's some good weight you're working with. Rasied heel on the squats is life changing haha
I can vouch for the romaleos being well built, stable and worth the price for me. Forefoot flex is enough. Overall great shoe. All my maxes performed in them.
wish i could find those at an outlet or something. retail is expensive on the romaleos 2.
Dude you should've been doing it for yourself to begin with and not for other people. And I'd workout legs too and not just the upper body.Dog I'm whylin.im 5.8 -about 190. I let my gut turn into a beer belly, but I'm not fat fat. I old Easley run off the gut. My thing is ******* still love me and some even like it. Would I feel better doin it for me? Is it even worth the time and energy? Could I just work arms out neck shoulders all uppers and kind even out the stomach, what do the experts think
i have chucks there od narrow. the main reason I want the weight lifitng shoes is for the stability and elevated heel I have like no ankle mobility at all.
i've been wearing the same nike free 7.0 for YEARS (since 2006?) and they're still my go-to workout/running/hiking shoes. surprised they've held up through all the abuse.
i think the general point of a "good" workout shoe is something low to the ground and with minimal cushioning. the frees have a lot more flex than what you would want in an ideal weightlifting shoe, but they work for my purposes.
Most comfortable shoes I own. My pairs have been beaten like Tina and they're still going strong.i've been wearing the same nike free 7.0 for YEARS (since 2006?) and they're still my go-to workout/running/hiking shoes. surprised they've held up through all the abuse.

95% of the time I rep my squad with my gym attire.I work out in a variety of beaters... Js, am90s, 95s, or whatever's laying a around.
This is NT so... I'm usually one to match my clothes for the most part (even tho matchy matchy is frowned upon in this establishment) but I intentionally don't match my clothes at the gym.
I understand that the chicks do it, and maybe the male trainers (it's there job), but the guys that try extra hard to have an "outfit" at the gym kill me. My own brother is guilty of it smh
*edit*
Let me be a little more clear. I'm not talking about a black tshirt and black shoes. That's fine, I do that, everybody does that. I'm talking teal nike dri fit shirt with black shorts wit teal accents and teal am2013s. those guys
i just bought the adidas adipowerlifts. definitely worth the money, imoBeen doing all my lifts in just running shoes and stuff and my strength coach recommended I get some weightlifting shoes.
