STAY/GET BACK IN SHAPE VOL 3.0 -- A New Niketalk = A New Thread

I feel lost entering this thread. I'm in ok shape (I'm not a toothpick, but I'm not a slob either) but I'm trying to get ripped up. What exercise plan would you recommend? I want to work on my chest arms and stomach/sides mainly.

Also, what type of stuff should I be eating /not eating. I never pay much attention to what I eat, but I'm prepared to change.

I've tried to come up with a workout plan on my own, but I hurt a tendon in my arm on a butterfly machine, I think I was lifting way more than I should. How do you guys know what type of plan you need/want?

Ronnie used to be a police officer in my hometown. Pulled my dad over one time and my dad said he damn near **** his pants when he looked in the mirror and saw Ronnie get out of the car :lol

I've been in a bit of a rut lately. Getting frustrated and emotionally deflated from this job search and haven't been able to really get going in the gym. Done enough to maintain, but not gain like I'm shooting for. Any advice for an extra boost? Can't really take any pre-workouts due to high blood pressure.

No one's gonna wanna hire a skinny-fat guy. Remember that how jack3d you are directly correlates with how attractive a job candidate you are.

Your welcome brah.

When I was unemployed and frustrated, that is when my fitness journey began.  I used the gym as a mental and physical release....the situation was making me weak, but found that in the gym I was able to become mentally and physically stronger and gain confidence in a deflating situation by pushing past barriers I did not think I could.  Not being bound by a 9-5 I was able to try a little bit of everything which it turn allowed me to find what worked for me and what I enjoyed.  It also exposed me to enough to feel comfortable mixing it up from time to time so things didn't become to monotonous or stagnant.

The answer to your pre-workout issues works two-fold.  Eating clean...I still do the pre-workout thing, but some out there stick solely to clean eating and carbing properly.  If you focus on that not only will you develop healthy eating habits, your high blood pressure will improve.

For me it's all about finding your motivation and focusing your energy there.  When unemployed I focused on working out and dieting...and it worked.  Once I got I job the lifestyle change had been made and I feel stronger now in all aspects...mentally, spiritually and physically.  "KUM-BY-YAH" moment, but good luck with the job search...been there, done that...it sucks.  Find your motivation and your inner beast mode...if I can find it anyone can.

Quick question, I'm adding deadlifts to my work out and I just wanted to know if there's a weight I should aim to get to, like a percentage of your body weight. Appreciate it.

Once youre deadlifting 2.5x your body weight you're pretty damn strong. Same with squat and bench is 2x.

Hit 455x4 on squat today. Deload next week then two more phases before I test. Gonna smash PR's on every lift.

sooooooo much upper chest work today. that was all i focused on. I know its all one slab of meat, but you definitely feel pressure in different areas when doing different angles. been rocking these gold's gym stringers i got too...been making me feel kinda big...kinda. when i look in the mirror, i still see a lil fella though..internal shallow hal swag

ya'll dudes throw more shade than ******* do...

AIIGH-- I took this week off to give my knee a "breather," man it sucked--- I hate not being active. Knee feeling better , supps came in, I'm going back at it next week. Recommended to get cardio 30 in a day, so I'm doing that... ride my bike around the neighborhood. I think I'mma hit up ab class/bootcamp wednesdays and keep my boxing cardio on saturdays. I play soccer on Sundays so that's exercising 3 times a week.

Mondays and Tuesdays.... I need an ab workout to do at home, something that doesn't require a machine.... I enjoy working with free weights more.

took this maybe a day or two ago... I'm happy with my stomach, honestly I always have been. Avg. chick sees my stomach and usually gives me hella compliments (or low-key shade :lol) BUT--

I want THIS.

Man, I'm probably gonna need to be exercising everyday to get this... which my schedule just don't allow for that. Looking for honest feedback as always. I've worked on my diet since zyzz said abs are made in the kitchen :p , not gonna front tho I usually go the Lucky route on fridays :{ It doesn't go over sodium, fat, cal levels but still... I feel like that still holds me back.

I'd prefer to hear from dudes who either had 6 packs or currently have them.... am I far off? Am I miles away? Am I almost there? HALP.

^ your stomach looks great yo. I dig it. You had me thinking you were chubby. Looking good Slim.

piece of cake though, metaphorical. leg raises, planks, and good ol fashion crunches, and you're good money. the abdominal structure of women is different than men, but def possible to get some get definition. just keep pounding them.

only a few of ya'll in here are on my FB so yea.. I could see that. Tried to tell folks a while back I been bout my fitness game since I was a lil' girl, just now I"m really focusing on it and making it a priority.

plank 1 min
100 of things where you are lying on your back, you extend all the way back and then bring the weight up to meet your toes, extend back but toes don't touch the ground
100 pelvic thrusts/lifts/whatevs
100 alternating extend full body then touch your toes
24 push ups where I lift the weight on my way up

I do them in increments of 25, pushups increments of 6. Sorry I don't know technical names :lol But I duplicate stuff I do in my bootcamp classes that I like and they don't tell us exactly what they are called. This is my current workout, takes me bout 20 mins. If I do that everyday, is that good? Right now, not gonna lie I do it twice a week :{ Or is my ab workout not strenuous enough. That's the main thing I'm kinda wondering, like I'm not going HAM like I should be.

Huh?

from the standpoint of potential, based on hormones and such. Anatomically we're the same, but biologically we're different. But honestly, I think there's an arguement for the different in anatomy in muscular structures too. Judt look at male and female bbers. Even with both side taking test supps, it kinda levels the field to see the true difference. Our ceiling is higher, muscle bellys have more depth and the connectors are even placed different. And honestly its wayyyy more common in the fitness community to see men with 6packs instead of women, not for a lack of want, but that ability isn't there for all of them.

What I find wild about this thread and NT in general dudes want to talk cash money on the net, but in real life wont say a word if they say a NTer in person but post a thread saying they saw someone, lol I`ll body half these kids in real life talking that cash money on here and I put that on Allah.

In other news, Olympia on now, gonna catch Generation Iron on Saturday.

on tv??!!
