Stay/get back in shape...Vol: Motivation

I don't remember how all the roid talk came up I'm talking about roids/PH's though. I've never ran a cycle myself. Yep, there is always abetter way, that's why I love learning new things on this topic to take your training to a new level.

Smh I feel like giving up. I was able to do 65's on the DB press 2 Fridays ago, and then I barely eat the whole week, and I come in on Friday and only doone set of 60 and then I can't do anymore. I just did pushups, flies, dips, and pulldowns and called it a day

Should I just increase my caloric intake by 100?

That's your problem. You need a good healthy diet.

at all the dudes talking about 'roid and what not. I barely got on the whey train a couple of months ago..that's how big of a square I am.

Anybody know about carb tapering? I'm thinking about doing something similar. Eat carbs during the day then switch to fats later throughout the day.

About to use my 'real meal' card for lunch today. Craving some bbq tri tip so I'm gonna head out to the steak house. Sundays got me feeling extralazy because I basically don't do anything...just 'net and watch movies all day long.

ok so i asked in the other workout thread how to lose weight of my butt. i lost maybe 40-50 pounds since high school ended after gaining it throughout grade12. i was told you cant target weight loss and to just keep doing what ive been doing

i was also told to do lunges so when i finally lose the weight (which is soon hopefully!) ill get some definition. is there anything else i can do?

I'm eager to kill what I have now so I can try some more flavors. What brand areyou using BTW? I'm eager to try Rocky Road and Ice Cream Sandwich. I have no idea what to expect, but I hope it's somewhat decent.

As of now im taking 100% gold standard whey; vanilla flavor, and its delicious!
laugh.gif

Thing is, i love taking vanilla because even if i get tired of drinking it with milk, i can always switch it up and add bananas, strawberries, blueberries orw.e and make it a smoothie.

I'll be getting my cookies n cream sometime next week hopefully and come back with a review..

EDIT: just went on their website, I'm def going to pick up the variety pack they offer

I have the 5lb tub of cookies and cream, stuff tastes delicious, but I'm getting tired of it...I might just trade my friend who got rocky road the sametime as me. Next time I'm getting a fruit flavor though, mostly because I usually mix with water. Anyway, tonight I definitely have to hit thegym...drinking heavy always leaves me feeling like %!@%, I have this need to workout this disgusting feeling that I woke up to. I really think if I wanna beserious, I have to tell myself I can't hit more than 5 drinks at a time this whole year....

Like the read that Audi posted, you should take some protein even before you workout, because many it's necessary to have proteins to help you DURING theworkout process as well.

I usually drink my whey mainly on workout days, that's about 6 times a week (twice a day on workout days). But, if I havent been eating generously throughout the day, I'll have a couple scoops to make sure I meet my protein requirements. But basically, you can take it daily.

sig check.

which should i cop next

imo ON Gold Standard is one of the best wheys on the market... it has the best combination of price, quality and taste. there are other good wheys out there, but they taste like @#@#.

I take a scoop in the morning with my cereal, banana, and mixed nuts. I then hit the gym about an hour later and take another scoop afterward inthe locker room. I take the last scoop before I go to bed. But for Sunday, when I don't exercise at all, I take 2 scoops...morning and night.

breaking news guys

after extensive scientific testing i have discovered young jeezy's thug motivation 101 will add 5-10 lbs on any lift, guaranteed. works best when played athigh volumes.

i beasted on the bench today thanks to mr 17.5

seriously though today was one of my best lifts since i started carb cycling....mass seems to be all there but strength def has taken a dip.

back to where i was before i started

feels good.

It's no secret that free weights are more effective than the machines because there's no restriction of motion. This is why you see allof the lifters in the free weight room. But the catch is that you can seriously hurt yourself if your form isn't proper.

It's all about the music, man. There's been times where I'm dying on the treadmill and I put on some "Final Countdown"or that Linkin Park song from Transformers and I'm back in it again. Jeezy is great for lifting because dude's songs are so fast paced. I beenplaying that Kobe/Lebron song of his for a while too.

I'm pretty sure this has been answered but what pre/post workout supplements do you guys take?

And do they actually do anything?
