What did you say to get the code?
What did you say to get the code?
Just asked if its too late to get a code for Ryu code and dude was searching around and said this the 1st day release game. Code might be inside. So I opened and nothing and told him I got nothing then he had a ripped receipt with the code and told me whoever pre ordered didn't want the code so gave me that.

Heard Street Fighter 4 is better than 5, that's pretty sad...
Is it worth opening? I got it but haven't opened it.. I'm hearing bad things.. Is it true?
You guys can't be serious. I haven't played SF5 yet but as a hardcore SF player/fan I feel like you guys a prematurely judging this game. It looks absolutely amazing, it looks like Street Fighter! It's barely been out for a full 24 hours.

I'd miss the cash more than the game. I got it free (PC version) Was highly dissapointed. This thread is barely moving since the game has released. It's def not from every member playing non stop. Hate to be negative. Even seasoned SF players are gonna put this down after the honeymoon feelings for this game are over. SFIV was so much better at release.
And people said the same thing when 4 came out that it was rubbish compared to third strike. Making fun of focus attacks etc..Heard Street Fighter 4 is better than 5, that's pretty sad...
Its a beautiful game to look at.. wait till you play it though. It feels hollow. Time is irrelevant for this fighter. The only unlocks are costumes. You can play with your fav character till your blue in the face... Just wait for the honeymoon to pass..
Edit: i googled reviews. Kotaku said it best. http://kotaku.com/street-fighter-v-the-kotaku-review-1759416274
Pros
+ Amazing visuals, characters, music, and stages make this feel exactly how a brand new numbered Street Fighter game should.
+ Gameplay is fun, with the new mechanics that make Street Fighter 5 feel fresh and not like a simple USF4 extension.
+ Netcode feels strong right now. Cross-country and international connections held up nicely.
+ Free content coming soon.
Cons
- Street Fighter 5’s story mode at launch is short and lacking in several areas.
- Current game is limited in features.
I guess I'm the only one that doesn't play fighting games for the single player content. But if that's the main motivation driving your potential purchase, this game isn't for you. Not yet at least.
Gameplay-wise, the game is fun. Very fun. Matter of fact, I actually like it better than 4.
Visuals are stunning.
Here's where I'm disappointed, single player content. I get it, Street Fighter is meant for people to play with people, but I prefer practicing against a computer before I play against a person. That's just me. I wanna get a good feel before I'm comfortable enough to go up against a human. The fact that right out of the box, I can't get access to Challenge Mode until March tells me this game is unfinished.
Please forgive me for wanting a little more. I guess I've been spoiled by Mortal Kombat. I did not go into the game knowing that it was going to be virtually all online. Of course the servers are ****. Nobody saw that coming...... Bad idea by Capcom though.. I knew my spidey sense was right when I saw no Sagat, DLC character coming out a month after launch, and no Xbox One release(till Capcom see's units not moving and completes the game). I'll wait, hopefully many of the issues will be fixed and I'll purchase then. Amazon is gonna discount this game half off in a couple months.
Edit: I love SF. Grew up playing it like many of you. I'm not hating just to troll like most of NT. I just don't appreciate being told I'm getting a three course meal when it's an merely an appetizer. An appetizer I cant even properly eat because of the servers. This release seems purely like it was made by hardcore SF fanboys for hardcore SF fanboys. Which is why I mention "honeymoon" for us average SF folk.
PS4 online needs PS+ so yea you will need to get that to play onlineWas having the same feeling as i was just playing it. Even the "Story mode" is a joke. i mean the cut scenes are pretty cool and they are actually telling a story. but just ~3 matches per character and they are only one round? Plus the difficulty is on super easy mode. I don't know maybe i'm missing something.
I just got the ps4 for this game so i'm new to the system. So to play people online now i can only do it through playstation plus? and thats a monthly fee?
I was used to the free ps3 online play.
Got my steelbook edition yesterday. The game kind of feels unfinished, like it needs more modes and features.
I know these will be coming in the future, but because more of them aren't available from the start, Capcom have shot themselves in the foot because this obviously had a negative influence on the review scores and it's the review scores that will be a huge factor when the average consumer decides to buy the game or not.
