Nah, bringing your own DS4 at EVO is gonna cause a lot of problems.  People accidentally or "accidentally" pressing PS home button while still sync'd with another consoles.  

I just thought all wireless controllers are not acceptable.

DS4's are allowed but not de-syncing can get you DQ'd

Rep'd.  Thanks for the info.  I was thinking of volunteering for EVO, but i don't think i can handle the responsibility of 5+ simultaneous matches.

Just found an old MadCatz generic SFIV fightstick... Man I remember getting this thing for $60, now they're all $200+...  I'll probably bring this to EVO and swap out for better parts.

Basically your fightstick won't prompt the PS4 to assign it to a profile.  When you turn on a DS4 its either your auto profile signed in or you pick a profile/guest account.  So you would need a DS4 to use a PS4 profile then your fightstick will be assigned to that DS4 and thus that PS profile.

Yeah, a local spot tried doing an USFIV tourney before SFV, but they used PS4s..... such a pain.  I left before the thing started because it was just a cluster.  You gotta make sure there are NO profiles or PSNs on MULTIPLE PS4s, otherwise, logging in as someone already logged in a different PS4, will kick the PS4 out, even if you're in the middle of a match.  Theres the whole DS4 required for sticks/pads problems.  Then theres the DLC.  It was my homie's small local arcade so of course he tryna save a couple bucks getting halloween DLC of USFIV once, thats when he found out the hard way can't be signed in multiple PS4s.  I just hope its cleaner for EVO.

This was my complaint of SF4 new characters. Almost all had some type of command throw and a overhead. You pretty much
have to learn all the move sets of the characters in this game (which isn't new) plus overhead moves. Seems like everything is
+ on block for most of the cast. That Nash ex dive kick move is crazy positive on block . Necallii has that stupid ground kick
then standing jab right after because it's + on block...lol

Mika though is kinda insane, I hated Elf in SF4 and guess who shows up in 5..lol. I'm going to main her until they grown a brain
and nerf her command throw frames. Her v-trigger is pretty much like rose orbs, super stupid.

Bison and Vega's EX moves are all + on block, actually I think all of Vega's moves are plus on block. Press jab after blocking and you'll get blown up. They gave that fool a command throw, OD.

Vega's special moves are mostly negative except flying attack. Only thing I would be worried about is when he is in clawless form attacking you with frame traps and command grab mix ups. His normal rolls are punishable. His ex leaves him at a slight disadvantage. I do agree that R.Mika is alil obnoxious in this game. As a Laura main I find Necalli to be a bit annoying to deal with if they know what they're doing. If any1 on the east coast wanna play me add me on psn/fighter id: sidman107

Super OD that Vega has a command throw! I'm still getting use to the whole +on block everything. In 4 IMO it was easier
to feel the + on block. You basically have to block everything or v-reversal for the space. Also getting use to the no
mashing tick throw. I've been getting tons of people neutral jumping on wake-up to bait wake up throws, and eating
a massive damage combo.

Mika is extra stupid, will see how she does at FR this weekend.

I've been having a lot of fun with Cammy and I enjoy her as a character. Always have. But she just doesn't feel strong enough to main. Spiral Arrow not hitting low is stupid and with no overhead it feels like her mixup game gets stale fast. I basically have a few cute tricks in my rushdown but with her low health it seems like I'm always one combo away from round over. Just last night I was fighting a Ryu and opened up with a nice combo and follow up. Blocked his counter attack but he caught me with a tatsu and I looked up and no lie I was at like 2/3rds health. I think I lost some from grey life but still. It just felt like I had to do a lot more for less. Charlie is who I originally intended to main but I didn't feel comfortable playing him with a ds4. My pad coming in today though so gotta start my transition. I'll keep Cammy in pocket though. That's bae.

Cammy is one of the best footsies characters in the game. Her walk speed is the fastest out of any character and she can bait whiff throws from shimmy's into huge combos. Probably has the best normals out of any character since they all have massive range and she can just turtle and crouch fierce punch into a V-trigger combo for huge damage. She builds up meter quick so she'll always have a super in stock which is alway a threat.

I agree with the habit of mashing throw tech. SF4 ruined me to the point where I'm mashing crouch tech for everything when my opponent is applying pressure and I end up eating a big combo.

Cammy is OP this go around. She has pretty much no weakness. Still trying to figure out how exactly I want to combo from her spin knuckle but options are limited. Her back M Punch is damn near the perfect anti air too but it has no range.

I will say it's pretty odd we haven't gotten the March update yet...

I'm disappointed the update hasn't hit yet. I'm not built for this modern gaming dlc/patch nonsense.

I'm just going to stop buying on release. Might as well wait for a sale while these partial games get patched.
