STREET FIGHTER

I don't know if you're laughing at the moves that he got or at my statement. Let me break it down. I'm not some crazy pro player but I play Birdie and the matchup with Gief has always been a pretty even one. One thing that gives Birdie a solid chance in neutral is his medium kick. If you give Gief a counter for medium kick that could give him a follow up, that really swings the matchup in his favor. Birdie has a hard enough time getting Gief off him as is. I'm pretty sure that the new neutral throw that he has that will only activate for crouching opponents will have solid range too. That could blow up Birdies crouching offense too.

That chop/light punch or whatever that he has :x

That does so much work for him. I don't even mind that though because I understand that it's a tool that he needs.

Well at least they gave my boy Alex some minimum buffs. Why not give him an air throw since they even give cammy one??
They are still just notes though let's see what happened when it is live. Still don't know who to try next. Maybe Laura just to win?

What's everyone's thoughts on the new patch notes?

Link for those who haven't seen them: http://www.capcom-unity.com/combofiend/blog/2017/03/15/street-fighter-v-season-2-balance-update

I don't get what they're trying to do. Cammy gets a air throw? Gief gets 3 new moves. One that grabs you while crouching and one that counters kicks. How are you supposed to get away from him now?

I'm glad they're sticking to what they said by not over nerfing strong characters and buffing the weak ones.

Vega got necesary buffs so it'll be good to see him more in games.

Nothing happened to Ibuki and Urien didn't get the touch of death.
Ryu is not useless anymore but I don't like the nerf to Ken's overhead.

Good to see Akuma health buffs so they can go wild now.

I need to see Zangiefs moves in person and also I don't know why Cammy gets buffs upon buffs :lol

All in all. I'm happy with the changes so far.

I didn't see a Bison mention. Did he have any changes?

Akuma still can't press buttons.

I didn't know where else to post this, but we were discussing the community and this recent story is so beautiful. A disabled man made it to the top 8 of the Killer Instinct World Cup and then beat his opponent. Starts at around the 1:19:20 mark:

I'm not really a guy who hypes up pro gamers as "athletes" or anything like that, but stuff like this really makes me love pro gaming.

But can he beat brolylegs? :lol jk
Not a fan of KI, but that's pretty cool

Bruh they really need to bring Championship Mode back to SF.

Yall can have ranked and casual matches, CM was hands down the best part of playing online in Vanilla SFIV. This would be the perfect time to bring it back.

Don't know what character to learn. I am trying to learn Nash and Bison.

And I am pretty good with a controller.

But can someone honestly tell me why they use arcade stick? Are inputs known to come out easier etc?

For me it is because that's is what I am used to when I used to play in the arcades. I tried to use the PS4 controller in the beginning but it just didn't feel right. If I was new to the game though I would try it on a hit box controller.

It's arcade culture. Anyone growing up I'm the arcades knows anything else seems super foreign. I remember soldering my MAS stick for marvel 2 in 07. Te stick changed the game for sure with the quality buttons. I still have 3 of em laying around. Shoutout to Markman.

I guess I am just a lil different. I grew up in arcades too.

I guess by the time I realized arcade sticks were an option I had already adapted. Or something.

I started getting into an ok rythm with Nash yesterday online :hat

Game is OD good IMO.

I still need to figure out how to V-reversal though

I liked the simpler time when you just had light/medium/hard punch and kicks and block. These newer mechanics of reversals and V stuff is new to me.

Man. I love this new stuff :lol

I generally like change.

You gotta see this new slo mo thing in Tekken 7 :eek :rollin

Bro :lol
