I've had poorly stored beater 3's that never cracked no matter the abuse
& I've had 3's that were stored well with the rest and yellowed much faster...

Noticed different textures on the heel tabs, even on the same releases
I think some are "cut better" or come from a better piece of the plastic and
some of this cracking is just bad luck commonly but not universally combined
with poor storage

So I did it. Got some silicone and a few tools (chopstix) and attempted to salvage my IIIs.

I'm going to let them dry for an entire week and then wear them to a party.

Fingers crossed the silicone holds and has the flexibility of movement that I'm counting on.

Will let you know how it goes after I wear them...
