TEAM AIR FORCE 1 VOL. 6 AKA STOP PM'ING US

hey guys i started a IG To showcase old Forces and dunk Please mention @archive_footwear so i can repost!

***** with this nonsense. AF1s don't need any promotion PERIOD.

I ignored this the first time it was posted, but I'm going to be bitter old man Bip now that I was given a second bite at the apple. This is going to sound like I'm way more upset than I am. But, here goes....

Is that supposed to be a contribution to the community or something? You take 40 seconds and set up an IG account, and then ask other people to post pictures of their stuff, so you can re-post it under you account. For what? ...What is the endgame? Is there something that makes doing this more valuable than the 4982 existing hashtags and IG sneaker porn groups, most of which are operated by people exploiting and polluting the culture in the first place?

The are some pretty well known AF1 collectors that visit this thread. If somebody who was a staple of the AF1 community on the forums and social media did this, it might be defensible, though almost certainly still pointless.

So, just please, if you want people to participate answer a few questions -

1. What is the point of this?
2 What is unique about it; what does it accomplish that isn't already accomplished by other accounts, hashtags, etc.
3. To the extent that there are any fruits to come of this endeavor, why should you be the one to receive them?

I know this sounds like I'm attacking you, I don't want that to be the case. I'm just curious as to the purpose and motivation of this.

While it was the NYC that really made the AF1 what it became, it was B-More that really gave birth to the AF1 movement. The whole concept of a retro was first actualized by B-More AF1 dealers who basically petitioned Nike to remake the AF1 in more colors. So, while NYC took the ball, ran with it, and took AF1 love to never before reached heights, it would not have been possible without B-More. I'm the classic elitist life-long New Yorker, but a lot of people in NY think the city birthed everything. The same thing happens with graff - people act as if NY was its birthplace, when it really Philly that started it. In both cases, NY didn't birth these things, just made them more famous than anyplace else possibly could have.

damn boys out there aint like it.. #shineblockers its all good do your thang OG

Office Bip says: So, you can't articulate the value proposition of your proposed initiative to your potential partners and key stakeholders?

...Or maybe, as most of us sensed, there is none.

But, why do you have to come with the most juvenile response possible? You kicked some BS, and the group here didn't buy it. So, instead of answering the questions as to why it would be a good idea to change our mind, you essentially call us haters. You can think that's slick, but it's just an admission that we were right.

But, tell me more about shineblocking though... Specifically, how does us not giving you pictures of our shoes to post under your account block YOUR shine? Ain't none of the shine yours to be blocked in the first place - you are aggregating content, not creating it. Sorry if we weren't eager to let a veritable stranger eat off of our strength.

had a quick look at the IG account

All re-posts do include who's shoes they belong too. i.e screen shot of persons post showing their username, then underneath also placing there username

I gotta co-sign this! I was a big AF-1 head in college and I went to visit my homeboy @ Morgan state and there was a sports store in the strip mall near campus that became a regular stop on my trips to B'more just because of the various colors they sold that I never saw for sale in NY. Bout to jump back in with some ID's soon. That new tree cammo ish is nice!

Have a great weekend to all.
