that sucks for him, aint getting any younger. how long is he out? all year? less talking, more physical therapy this year i guess

Aren't they under some contractual obligation not to play any sport during the offseason?

He's probably done, a la Lavar Arrington.

If in fact it was basketball related & such a provision exists in the contract, it's up to the team if they want to enforce it or not. The ratbirds have a history of placating their diva players so they won't enforce if something like that exists. That would cause all kinds of acrimony that the ratbirds always avoid...A family member of mine used to work in the ratbirds PR dept under Chad Steele (brother of ESPN's Sage Steele).
