I don't get how the Celtics can be good the first three quarters, then fall apart in the fourth damn near every game.

that number is probably closer to...

These Avery Bradley threes go against everything your taught about milking the clock with a lead at the end of games. :lol

Anybody remember when Avery Bradley was in high school, there was a dude named Abdul Gaddy who was like an exact replica of him?

PER is a overvalued stat

Theres no way David Robinson and Chris Paul are in the same conversation with those other guys

a lot of people don't realize this all PER is are the box score stats . PTS/REB/AST/BLK/STL ect, adjusted for pace of play, league enviroment and weighted for value.

it's just a faster way of saying this guy averaged 20, 12, 5 and with 2 blocks and 1.5 stls. Instead you just say he had a 24.2 PER.

to say PER is overvalued, what you are really saying is that a player is contributing less or more than his traditional box score stats would indicate. You would have to explain why. but to say that PER is overvalued doesn't quite make sense.

also PER can't measure defense, and probably overvalues shot creation.

What I said earlier PER is like a NFL Quarterback rating to me

The Quarterback rating stats say that Tony Romo is the 3rd highest rated quarterback of all time when his stats are mainly a product of todays NFL offenses and rules

Thats what David Robinson is to me

To me it doesn't take into consideration that all stats aren't created equal...meaning getting 8 pts , 4 rebounds and 5 assists in the 4th quarter of a close game should be treated different than getting the same stat line when are down by 20 points

Also to my knowledge PER cannot properly evaluate Bill Russell, Wilt Chamberlain, Oscar Robertson and other NBA greats because blocks and steals were not official stats in the times they played

True. But I guess they figure every time they get into a half-court offense late in the 4th it always ends up bad so **** it.

So the W/L record you posted up for Rondo's triple doubles indicates it's not resulting in wins lately because of the pieces around him? Or something else?

My guy John Wall also ended up with 15/14/8/3/3.

Point gawds.

Just going to put this out there. No shade no salt, and a Legit question

Hyper: CP3 is top 5 pg ever.

Mamba MVP: NO, Magic, Zeke, Stockton, Big O, Kidd, Payton, Walt Frazier

I can see CP3 being a top 5 PG ever because dude is that good based on who I've seen and I can't put 5 ahead of him (that I've seen)

What I don't understand is, how one could argue he's not top 5 based on adding people in front of him that they have never seen play.

How can you put BigO and Walt Frazier in there and you have never seen them? Google? Okay if its google, cool, but say "google says" or "The current rankings are this" not 'NO" and then rumble a list based on what someone else believes.

This is done too often.

People say NO and YES based of someone else's info.

If your 25 years old, there is no way you should be debating why Oscar/ Frazier > CP3
