i dont think nash kidd and stockton were good enough to be the best player on a championship team either so there is a chance chris paul could pass them depending on how the rest of his career plays out
Chris Paul isn't good enough to be the best player on a championship team, so I dunno what that has to do with anything.
if the clippers can at least make the finals once i would put cp in the top 5

but that wont happen because he's not good enough so no need for anyone to worry about that

I've said for a long time that I think Lebron will be Vince Carter 2.0

Not talking in terms of accomplishments.

I'm talking regarding ability.

Lebron has been great. I'm not arguing what hes accomplished. Relax.

I'm not sure how you want these guys to be performing once they age and accumulate a ton of mileage. At some point every player is going to be a Player X 2.0 because Father Time always wins

I'm talking specifically in comparison to how Mike and Kobe developed the way they played the game as they got older.

****, just off the top of my head: Magic, Stockton, Payton, Isiah, Oscar, Nash, Kidd > CP3

And there are guys still playing that I'd take before CP3, too.

:lol @ Stockton/Zeke/Kidd/Nash.

2 of those dudes can't eem defend so they're out.

Zeke is the only real arguement but that's also not close when you look at the numbers objectively.

Chris Paul has had a lower TO% and higher assist% every year.

Zeke career TS% is 51% and he's shot under 50% 3 times

Paul's is 57% and he's never shot under 53%

Zeke best PER was 22.

Paul's is 30, his worst is 22.

Chris Paul also blows Kidd's numbers out the water too and he also couldn't even shoot till he was like 35.

So no.

But let me guess, playoff success and championships right?

Even though Kidd played on more talented squads in a weaker conference and Zeke played with multiple HOF'ers with a HOF coach. :lol

Never mind individual skill/greatness doesn't = championships.

Yall need to stop man.

Westbrook doesn't play off the ball by default though, he actually starts at point guard

AI had Eric Snow

He did but Iverson ran the show. Had the ball more in his hands than Snows. I bet AI had more assist than Snow did over that period.

neither is rose

Yep. Rose is another guy people try to say isn't a PG. Rose is not only a point guard but a great one at that. Only thing keeping him off my top 5 current list is his minutes. He's played great this season.

So you're saying Lebron is going to be coming off the bench to be a designated shooter once his athleticism goes?

You do know Lebron has ALREADY sustained playing at an elite level for a much longer period than Vince did right?

If you think he's eventually going to lose his athleticism and his game will change (duh) there was a better way to say it than "Vince 2.0".

Iverson played off the ball a lot too though coming off screens. A lot of guys own the ball (Harden, Kobe, LeBron, Wade etc.) but they aren't the point guards

AI was a 2, man. After a certain point in his career he played completely off the ball with Snow or Aaron McKie bringing it up.

Just because Russell scores a ton doesn't mean he aint a PG either. Thabo started with Russ for a long time, Thabo wasn't the one initiating the offense

Roberson starts now, he aint initiating the offense
