They were better players. Don't need to say anything else.
You're a numbskull, I shouldn't have even wasted the 5 minutes I gave any of your thoughts.
the only mentality pgs should all have is the willingness to do whatever it takes to win a basketball game& if you ever watched AI you know damb well he ain't had a PG mentality
Nah man no way, AI was balling out of control when he was in Denver.AI played the point his rookie yr and maybe a little beyond that and when he went to Denver, all other times, he played the 2.
I don't really count his Denver days anyway.
It's like counting Jordan's Wizards days
****, just off the top of my head: Magic, Stockton, Payton, Isiah, Oscar, Nash, Kidd > CP3
And there are guys still playing that I'd take before CP3, too.
@ Stockton/Zeke/Kidd/Nash.
2 of those dudes can't eem defend so they're out.
@ using PER and other dumbass advanced stats to try and prove that CP0 is somehow a 'better player.'
Chris Paul can't even win so he's out.
Some of y'all need to stop.
Chris Paul is the Drew Brees of point guards (minus, of course, a championship and MVP). Good enough to be in the top 5 current crop, but not enough to crack top 5 all time. Inflated stats.
People seem to think that period lasted much longer than it did.
He played off the ball during Larry Brown's tenure. As soon as he left he went back to being a 1. Then primarily played the point in Denver and Detroit.
He got his MVP playing off the ball...but he spent more time on the ball than off it in his career.

Zeke is the only real arguement but that's also not close when you look at the numbers objectively.
Chris Paul has had a lower TO% and higher assist% every year.
Zeke career TS% is 51% and he's shot under 50% 3 times
Paul's is 57% and he's never shot under 53%
Zeke best PER was 22.
Paul's is 30, his worst is 22.
Chris Paul also blows Kidd's numbers out the water too and he also couldn't even shoot till he was like 35.
So no.
But let me guess, playoff success and championships right?
Even though Kidd played on more talented squads in a weaker conference and Zeke played with multiple HOF'ers with a HOF coach.
Never mind individual skill/greatness doesn't = championships.
Yall need to stop man.
Resorting to personal attacks is always a good sign.
its debatable whether or not ai should be considered a pg
if he isnt then, difference in opinion. that doest mean he didnt make any sense
if you dont mind having ai as a pg then give your reasons to which you think chris paul is better
the only mentality pgs should all have is the willingness to do whatever it takes to win a basketball game
there is no correct way to play point guard
because its not ridiculous to think chris paul isnt a top 5 current player in the nbaWhy would I again when dude didn't have CP3 in his top 5 of current players?its debatable whether or not ai should be considered a pg

You serious too?
people love to focus on advanced stats when it comes to chris paul but the seem to forget what the point of getting stats as a basketball player is - to win basketball games
My fault for the smoking crack comment it clearly touched a nerve with you. And one question for you, did you watch Oscar play? All Time
Magic
Isaiah
Oscar
Stockton
Iverson
Current
Westbrook
Wall
Curry
Dame
Lowry

I'm done with you dudes y'all are silly, y'all really let your dislike for a player distract actually how good of a basketball player they are.
