Remember when in the summer, some people argued up and down the Mavericks were contenders?
I mean, it was the summer time though. I don't think it's unfair to let the season play out a bit when it comes to any of the top 8 west teams

At this point they are certainly going one way and the Cavs the opposite way when both teams have the same record

They were a 8th seed with a descending player as their best player.

Monta Ellis has never been an All-Star and Chandler Parsons is a role player

I don't know how somebody could've looked at their team and thought contender

Late pass...but after Goonside hit Olynyk...I completely missed Isaiah Thomas screaming at the top of his lungs "yeeeeah....that's the Hassan I know baby"

An 8th seed in the west these days doesn't mean you are some scrub team

Ellis could have been an All-Star last year and this year, Parsons is about a good a third wheel as you'll find in the league. Tyson Chandler's defense made them seem like an interesting team that you reasonably give a chance to start the season

Good for you though for being right I guess, here's a cookie

When Cleveland shares the ball, they're going to be extremely hard to stop :smh:

Rondo is going to get all of the blame but the fact of the matter is Dirk can't make a shot.

His ppg is going down every month. This is sad

I didn't say they were a scrub team

I just said they werent title contenders

Chandler Parsons is still a role player

Could've made the All Star Game and making it are 2 different things

Tyson Chandler is still good but he's not 2011 level anymore

Define contender.

My point being, in the west an 8th seed is deceiving

Not giving them a chance to start the year is fine by me I'm just saying I don't think it was unreasonable to give them a chance

You acting like whoever did give them a chance was a dummy or something

GSW, OKC, SAS (to an exent), ATL CLE. It's that simple.

Lakers are trying their hardest to lose. Reggie Jackson can't even get past a tanking Lake show in the final quarter that they threw.

He definitely isn't who I thought he could be.
