Olynyk could work as a floor spacer for Noel too.

I just see Smart as "a guy"....nothing worth being the centerpiece of a deal giving up a 19 year old potential franchise player. Olynyk would be cool to have but I hate that dumb son of a ***** after what he did to Love and I have a feeling players are gonna be coming at him this year for being a dirty player. Plus besides Embiid, Okafor and Noel we still have Saric, Jerami Grant and Aldemir.

Was never a fan of Smart. Still early but i doubt he'll be as good as some people think he can be.

Any idea of what the sixers will do with Embiid/Okafor/Noel?

Noel's defense combined with Jah's offense is lethal

with Embiid's health concerns i'd imagine they try trading him

I don't think they can carve out enough space between Okafor and Noel on offense.

And defensively, if you stick Noel on PFs, you take him away from protecting the rim. And there's no way Okafor can keep up with opposing PFs.

Agreed. They'd be better off with Noel/Embiid at the 5 + Saric at the 4 + Defensive SF.

Crazy thing is they can get an all star caliber player for either Embiid or Okafor imo. Splitting time between 3 bigs will just kill their value.

It's been mentioned but philly would have absolutely no leverage in trade talks, especially now with teams knowing they have 2 dozen centers they are desperate to get rid of. This hinkle guy is something else

they can play the situation like how chicago did with taj/noah/pau. embiids injury will limit him for the season anyway so this shouldn't be a problem until all 4 players are completely healthy/playing significant minutes

All I know is Okafor, Noel and Embiid (if healthy) will all be great. So we better get something really worth it if we give one of them up.

Saric still coming over after drafting Okafor?

The plan was always for him to come in 2016-17.

He may wait until 2017-18 so the rookie scale contract wouldn't apply to him and increased cap though.

Knicks should have traded Melo to the Lakers for that #2 pick, Randle and a future 1st rounder. It was time for Melo and the Knicks to split last summer, that idiot just selfishly prolonged the process.

This made me laugh.  No way the Lakers are giving up all that for a dude who is 31 and is about top make 80 MIl over the next four seasons.

Thunder should've really tanked the season so they could've got in top 5 then come back with Porzingis or Hezonja coming off bench....just imagine if they had gotten top 3 pick Okufor would've been epic they should've held out westbrook with some fake injury it would've been like when Spurs tanked to get Duncan

I had the trade idea between the Celtics and Sixers; Okafor for Smart, Hunter, Sullinger, and the Nets picks (2016 pick and 2017 pick swap).

The Celtics get their star prospect and the Sixers get actual NBA players and even more assets (they don't have anything 2017 related in their cupboard).

Won't happen but I like that a lot for both teams.

Sixers ain't in no rush, they're aren't going to be competitive for the next two years.

What happens if he gets hurt again though? I wouldn't risk being stuck holding the next Oden if I could get a good haul for him. Really comes down to who they can get for him. If it's not a good offer, roll the dice and keep him, but if they can get something juicy, you gotta take it.
