Would be hilarious for UConn to pull this after Hurley turned down a crazy bag from the Lakers

Gotta go where the monies at.

They’re probably getting a huge bag so the conference can have a true blue blood.

OK but travel costs are a real thing.
A real thing for who? You think Rutgers is complaining about the cost of traveling to Nebraska when the revenue sharing poured more money in a single year than their program had ever made? Again, give me a break.

Wasn't aware UConn got an invite to join the Big Ten. The Big 12 revenue share is less than half of the Big Ten. Everyone focuses on football but basketball, but what about when the women's volleyball team has to travel to Provo, Utah on a school night to play BYU? That's when geography matters. Coast to coast conferences are brand new and we still haven't seen the effects on a large scale.

They aren’t brand new though. We’re 15+ years into coast to coast conferences and the rest are all working toward that B1G money. But if you think the cost of flying the volleyball team is hurting the athletic dept of any school in a major conference you’re just naive to the amount of money these schools are playing with, especially in the age of NIL. Big 12 revenue share for this year is $470M and you’re acting like it’s peanuts 💀

Read the tweet that was posted right above you. But yeah, go ahead and be naive enough to think that the revenue share will be dispersed evenly among all the athletic teams within a program:
