True or not, this some of the most "inside your own mind" **** i've heard. Unless i'm missing parts, some simple **** an actual conversation with the right questions would solve.

If it's what someone else posted before. A lot of it was label politics. You prioritize the ones keeping the lights on(Luda, Jay, Jeezy, Kanye). Everyone else is easily replaceable and you need to make yourself hot and a priority.

Yea it’s terrible that Blood Raw was so hurt by that , even till this day that affects him but sounds like he just had too much faith in the business side of things…He never asked follow up questions to Jeezy or anybody else involved and assumed ppl will do right by him …That seems to be a common these with a lotta these gripes, they all thought it was some type of family business when that’s far from the case

And they let Jeezy get over on em mutiple times before they dip or see what it is, but bet you they would say they won’t let even 1 person screw em over in the streets

This reminds me of what Murphy Lee said in a recent interview. Universal put out the St Lunatics, Ali and Murphy Lee albums as a gift to Nelly to keep him happy. They wanted to go straight to another Nelly album every time because his numbers were so crazy but they did it to please him. It makes sense but it hit a little different hearing it straight from Murphy Lee.

G Herbo said on Math Hoffa that he's a young dude often figuring it out. You want your Nelly's and Jeezy's to handle your career properly when they finally lucked into their own career. Nelly was almost 30 years old when he finally got popping. So you want him to handle your career properly when he finally was able to get his own going? With no experience? In 24 hours a day, how many hours do you expect to devote to yours?

Once Jeezy goes platinum the pressure is on even more, for his own career. And his career is financing yours. He's opening the door, and a lot of it's on you.

Jay had Dame. Wayne had Slim and Baby. Dre had Jimmy Iovine to balance the business side. Jeezy's goal wasn't to retire after one album and run a label.

I think about how many people DMX had on his label, and none of them ever came out. It's like they knew what it was. Berg created for himself.

It could have been that. When I look back, what Murphy said made sense. 50 dropped and he refused to do another album until they put out a G Unit album. Em was obviously huge, he got his D12 album. It was pretty much a bonus. If you sold and were a priority, you got a label. I think it was almost something to brag about.

Busta and Flipmode is another where some like Lord Have Mercy, Roc Marci and Reek had problems. But he put out a Flipmode, Rampage and Rah Digga and none of them sold.

It comes to a point, would these labels have signed some of these rappers without the artist cosign? I bet you Rampage's wack *** isn't upset. He got an album and got to tour the world.

Dudes really got it out the mud and grinded. Curren$y left no limit and Cash Money and carved a lane. Why? Because he doesn’t have the VICTIM mentality and always has positive mindset.

Curren$y really built a genuine fan base and used the internet to perfection…

And stayed out of legal trouble

Look at lot of these dudes who missed the cut or didn’t make what they presumed they would’ve. I’d say 75% of them were ALWAYS in prison/jail or facing charges, some way or another.

Habituals, Jail Birds, or always caught up with the law. STOP GOING TO JAIL OR GETTING INDICTED.

Same with Slick Pulla. Cats don’t ever point out that they’re always involved in some ongoing investigations and whatnot.

Boys should’ve grinded outside of Jeezy. Use him as leverage to build and not solely focus on him to put you on. There’s truth to these stories yeah. Same with a guy like Beans. Beanie Sigel is one of my favorite rappers. He stayed in trouble. Gucci Mane also finally realized that he was a flunky and constantly having stints in prison was messing up his money.

U bring up a really good point about Jeezy potentially having to double back quickly because he was huge after that first album.

I also remember when the crew album was almost a guarantee. Hell even Cam got to do a Diplomats album after the success of Come Home With Me. The ROC didn't even wanna sign Jim at that time lol.

Dudes expecting proper care and management from an active superstar artist was always wild. When do you think they would find the time? Some of these dudes would play off the actual label functionaries too waiting on the superstar to make it happen for them.
