These minions who are tearing him down belong to the liberal media

Once anyone black demands tangibles from the right and left the ultimate smear campaign begins

We need to wake the **** up and smell the coffee

I actually love that 50 came out today and said what he said, because NOBODY is gonna bully that ***** into tucking his tail because 50 genuinely doesn't give a ****. I hope they keep going after him because 50 is petty enough to start calling a lot of these fraud *** dudes on their shenanigans

1. The question was crazy, because he was supposed to have Trump's plan memorized?

2. I think Kanye and Ice Cube are totally different.
1. He couldn't name a thing from b/c he never read it, had he read it he'd know it ain't match his.

2. In delivery? Sure, but both are out of touch ignorant/arrogant dudes that don't read or listen & will continue to be taken advantage of b/c of it.

One is running for president & the other is making up contracts for Black American's.

trynafeelmink trynafeelmink i swear bro....just watch with an open mind. It starts at the 44:45 mark. Leave all of your pre-conceived notions at the door. This has nothing to do with “having the convo” or being beholden to Democrats or something. This ain’t, THAT.

Cube got played. He admitted it. He doubled down in his resentment of not knowing basic civics. Heart in the right place as always, but he fumbled. It’s ok to say you don’t know man. I SWEAR. I **** with Ice Cube heavy.

kingfoamnyc kingfoamnyc it really ain’t about “tearing down”. I hate the “sell out” talk. It’s wrong. But cube IS wrong. If you watch the entire thing, he came off as disrespectful as hell, to people that are doing the fight. There are literal legislations on the table that Mitch McConnell will not even bring to the floor, that are in the CWBA. Cube didn’t know this.

We had a decent discussion in the political thread the other day. Dissafected black men are getting gamed man, and we are splitting into some bee tribalism in black America. Which I really hate.

That’s not what actually happened tho......Cube got used by the Trump campaign. They didn’t even take anything from the CWBA, that Cube proposed . Just used his name as a flamethrower, to get a backlash feedback loop, and create confusion and dissension. Because people are lazy. And do not read. Just REACT.

And funny enough, ADOS, drafted the CWBA. And a lot of what is in the CWBA, is on Biden’s Black agenda. You can go read about it on his website. Actually detailed.
Did he? Not really.

Cube & Roland Martin literally pull up both the “platinum plan” and CWBA....side by side....and Cube struggles To find any similarities between both proposals

Having the “conversation” isn’t the issue. Rolan points out how he and others have had dialogue and convos on black agenda with the admin. It’s having these things in good faith, and not being used as a damn photo opp, or your image being used to give validation to bs.
@54:40 until. This is the part, a lot of the disaffected and confused people refuse to acknowledge or even educate themselves on. And it’s sad man. Because I see a couple brothers getting tricked, and too proud to just say they didn’t know/were resentful.

Well said. It’s frustrating.

Bro....you’d THINK they’d even reach out to the good brother, Ta-Nehisi Coates. And he went to congress to lay out the case for reparations. Mitch McConnell and republicans would not even hear it. Think cube and them was hip to this, when they try to play like nobody is doing anything? Nope

Nope. All that ego, not knowing etc gets in their way. It’s much easier and convienent and safer To lean into not knowing anything, and Just high level touch points with reactionaries. Then sit back, get a fuller view, learn some things, come with an actionable plan...then proceed with timing and action. Than to do what they do. They could’ve been doing this the entire time. Cube said he was busy rapping and making albums, big 3....because he figured someone else was doing the work (they were) its being obstructed. And the people in true power, want none of what your asking for. If you want to change or abolish the system....you have to put in place people who want to do the same. Or you have to resort to violence. It’s that simple.

Imagine boosting brothers like this Ta-henisi Coates on a platform. One who’s doing the research and work. And he’s one of the more popular ones. There are a lot of black men & women doing the work too.

I just want to watch with a perspective of someone else. I call ice cube the Kareem of hip hop. I got mad luv for him. But he came up short here. Instead of self reflection, he let ego and resentment get to him. That’s frustrating.

Either it’s violence or legislation. Only two ways to get black progress. We are at the only moment in history, where black progress is actually on the table. And that’s because of grassroots organization, and infiltration of the Democratic Party by progressive people. A lot of them are dope black women, and some cool brothers. The alternative, will literally not even commit to a simple study of reparations. The definition of bad faith. And people get tricked into not knowing civics, obstruction or the levers of power/demographic shifts.

White people are on the verge of being the minority, for the first time in this country’s history, and *****s are not on code.

You go to war when you got your money right or you got more guns. Black people have neither. You can play the spook by the door. That’s the alternative.

It's democrat _'s that always jump to the extreme when you don't ride for these white "liberals" with no questions ask. Cube made it real clear what he was doing months ago. People just wasn't paying attention and jumped on the headline when it became news.

I would love to see how these _'s would react when Martin met with Lydon B Johnson, who was a BLATANT racist.

I Watched the interview prior & although I do believe Cube was a bit unprepared for the interview, i still don't see that as being used. Cube ain't endorse nobody, he ain't get a job with Trump, he ain't say to go vote republican. He stated several times in the interview that his intent was to meet with both potential administrations & to try a new process which he did.

Trumps admin sat with him, viewed the plan & it seems like they didn't make many changes to their plan..... The democrats didn't even want to have a discussion, but they have scheduled sit down interviews with Cardi B, Kamala is doing sit downs with NBA players..... The same liberal outlets that our killing Cube for being "used" aren't saying a thing about their candidates doing the exact same thing, or aren't questioning their candidates on why Cube's plan couldn't even get a discussion.

Personally i think Everyone got something out of this,

- the Trump admin tried to skew this as Cube "working" for them, despite that being easy to disprove
- The Biden campaign skewed this as any black person who meets with republicans is just being used as a pawn, meanwhile they simply refused to have a convo at all
- Cube got more notoriety for his plan and amplified the thought of attempting to bring an agenda to whichever party is willing to listen

Being beholden to democrats is largely at play in the coverage of this clearly IMO. Kanye, Jim Brown, Steve Harvey, Cube etc etc are all guys who have been publicly slandered & called out their names for simply meeting with Trump.

Meanwhile every time i turn around the democrats are pushing a new celebrity interview in my face........ but somehow when celebrities sit with them i NEVER see this type of backlash. I'm pretty sure the Biden campaign isn't adjusting their political strategy after sitting down with Cardi B or Tobias Harris, but for some reason when black celebrities back liberals & get nothing done, they're not considered pawns & ****s..... it's applauded.

Yeah I'm missing where he's being used.

Did this gain Trump any new voters?

Did him and Trump's people do a photo together?

Black folks need to get off this putting emotion in politics. Neither one of these parties give a **** about you so you approach them like a business deal. Meeting with somebody does not mean you like or support them. Democrats come around and appeal to black folks emotions. Going to the church in the hood, doing something with a rapper, going to a black school. While NEVER talking about something tangible.

I have a problem with when a black man who's proven where his heart is throughout 30 years of being in the public eye takes an unconventional step trying to better his people and those same people are as vicious as can be tearing him down.

Is cube a politician? No.

Is he a consistent panelist on CNN or Fox News? No.

His lack of experience on said platforms showed but instead of his people galvanizing him and applauding him for talking a step they demonize him like a pack of venomous snakes calling him not qualified, stupid, a **** and a sellout.

That's my ******* problem.

Who the **** are you to tell HIM that? Call HIM those names?

If Trump played him cool so be it.

Every ***** on this forum has gotten played once before and we chalked it up as a learning experience.

But imagine how great Trump feels watching one of the REAL ONES get totally disrespected by his own people for legit trying to do better.

Them Roland Martin, Van Jones, and Don Lemon types are poison for forward thinking black people and it's ironic how they all belong to the same gang.

Like look at this **** man, these the progressive people i'm supposed to feel comfortable backing? ****** is getting executed on the daily & the leaders of the BLM movement are signing hollywood deals with white companies.

The ******* CEO of Warner Bros was involved in a #metoo LAST YEAR, but she willing to take a bag there. These people ain't for us, they breach this black upliftment & black solidarity...... but never preach going in any direction that includes independence from white people.

They work for white publications, they attend PWI, they aspire to live in predominately white neighborhoods, they look down on certain types of black people...... and then act like they was standing next to Fred Hampton

There's plenty of black "liberals" out there who i rock with, unfortunately they reach that glass ceiling whenever their not down to support every agenda liberal media pushes. Black empowerment be all good with them until they start discussing black empowerment w/o the financial backing of white people.

How you criticize her, yet defend Cube & Kanye?

Cube & Kanye probably shouldn't be held to the same standards as one of the cofounders of the biggest "black" movement in about 50 years... but that's just me. She's the self described activist, Organizer & Educator who is suddenly a film producer for Warner of all places.

And they're both entertainers turned politicians. You expect her to just march forever? My mother's childhood friend created The 40-Year-Old Version on Netflix & I've rarely seen her that enthusiastic about a film. She liked it along w/ shows like insecure b/c of the representation they produced. The characters were just regular, no bs, no slavery, just regular *** ppl, & Black ppl need to see **** like that.

Why you think dudes be looking up to dumbass celebrities like Kanye & Cube as a go to for representation? The system got Black ppl & other minorities tricked like that's all we have to speak for us. Don't go to Hov, go to Obama. I don't want no dudes quoting fake Hitler quotes thinking it's Hitler representing me. DeSean Jackson is damn doof.

So you want black people to stop looking up to celebrities......... but are advocating for a actual leader of an "activist" group to turn her attention away from that & do television, so black people could find representation in fictional characters??

I just don't get why folks move off what's the trending headline. Still falling for the okie doke. We've seen this happen twice recently. When Kaep got his money for the NFL blackballing him people really tried to question his motivates. Instead of doing research and seeing he was suing the league for money owed to him for a good year and some change, nah let's jump on the headline.

Jay working with the NFL got "outrage" when the whole time he was working with league because Roc Nation reps NFL players. Of course he's in business with them.

Getting sidetracked, talking in circles over the smallest ****.

It's hate.

They secretly hate these black people who are in better positions than them

The moment they "**** up" or seem less than perfect these people attack like a pack of wolves.

Shea butter Twitter Sheena or Hotep Harry lovesss the opportunity to call another black person who's more financially stable and more known socially "inadequate" or "not-qualified" due to them having a degree in communications or psychology

Those the same types who will tell you they don't need any validation from White American and that what they teach us in schools in BS and not "what really happened in this country"

But when it comes to bringing down another person of color they run to that psychology degree like it's a holographic Charizard from 2001.

Common story.

What’s funny is watching people go through this, and then not know that this is a clear example we’ve seen over and over since 2016.

He sounded like so many other people I had discussions with who didn’t really have the educational foundation to truly discuss it in any fruitful way. Unless you’re willing to show humility and admit that you don’t have all the answers, everyone else is going to know what’s going on before you do.

Don’t be mad at us for calling you out Cube. Be better. When you’re speaking with your chest about stuff you’re kind of out of your depth with you’re probably going to make a fool out of yourself. Doesn’t hurt when the current administration has continued to use black men as props.

A willing pawn two weeks before the election really only used to try to swing the votes of ‘undecided’ black men.

But ***** you mad at us for checking you? Aight, I’m out.:sick:

One thinks they're doing it for black people, the other is doing everything for himself. Maybe some narcissism in both, but totally different.

and Ice Cube is more in touch than Kanye.

and why should he care about Trump's? He's promoting his. He didn't endorse Trump and he doesn't work for him. Roland Martin should be asking about his.

I don't think he was being used. I don't think that's the right term.

and probably was upset at that tweet that announced his meeting. They were going to use it for a photo op, just like Steve Harvey or Jim Brown.

Ice Cube's just too prideful to admit he was wrong, so he's doubling down. If you see both as being opposite sides of the same coin, he's sort of annoyed he had to reach out to both. One gave him the same lip service that he sees black people have been given for decades. We'll look at it later. One met.

Ice Cube's politics aren't sophisticated. He sees it as lip service and they nothing for us.

Now do you separate that meeting from that tweet? Maybe Ice Cube does.

Maybe Ice Cube is trying to use leverage to provoke the democrats to act.

The tweet was meant to provoke discourse. And just on queue, Ice Cube becomes a koon and that's all people talk about for a couple of days. Not real issues. Not anything in Ice Cube's plan. Not anything the Democrats should be doing.

We have to do better than fall for partial clips and headlines with agendas.

Because people are LAZY, don’t read and like to be misinformed because it plays into whatever preconceived notions they have. People just wanna get takes off.

Like I said in the other thread, this whole Cube **** started by Katrina Pierson (an ACTUAL sellout/****) who’s a troll/trickster in her own right....tweeting to make it seem like Ice Cube was doing some kind of work exclusively with the Trump campaign. And Cube said he never even met shorty . But the Trump campaign knew it would create a feedback loop of lazy, reactionary people on all sides of the spectrum. And this was before Cube even said a single word himself on the situation.

Cube didn’t get played by simply having the conversation with the Trump admin. That’s not the issue. His heart has always been in the right place. The part where I feel he got played was the false equivalencies, not being hip to the work that’s been going on, and the road blocks and just resorting into resentment and ego. Rather than seeing where he could’ve been better at, and not continue to let his name/platform be used in a certain way.

The social media dissension etc is all noise. But it’s really leading to a split up of black folks, at a time where we need to be more consolidated as ever.

This is actually a pretty good convo. Especially at the end of the video. And I know, a couple of y’all are going to hate /discount the source as “liberal” or whatever. But Tiffany Cross is a good sister for real. And what they are saying, is where the calculation is.

I just want to know when are we actually going to discuss the dems and black people.

It never seems time. Every four years that can is kicked down the street.

When Obama was in office and had both the house and senate for his first two years, it was he still doesn't have enough votes to push his agenda. He just got in office. Wait until his second term. Notice how Republicans don't have this problem. They don't give a damn about the other side and how popular it is and have no problem in having Pence vote to give them the numbers.

And every election it's not about what the democrats can do for us, it's because they aren't Republicans.

That's the discussion we need to have 🤷‍♂️

We aren't getting it in 2020, so are we getting it in 2024, 2028......2040?

Instead we have discussions about Ice Cube and Kanye.
