You moved the goalpost. This horse is dead enough. Back to '97 I go.

With all due respect, I think speaking out vs. Trump is a VERY "safe/easy" thing to do.How many of them publicly chastised the current president of the united states, calling him a bum? Neither Wade nor Melo have the profile that LeBron has, and neither had as much to lose. Again, LeBron could simply sit back and play it safe, but he did not. He also reps it all by having an all Black family. If you do not realize how important that imagery is through a historical context, then you are simply ignoring facts, conveniently I might add, Sure MJ inspired many, globally, but LeBron is doing it where it is needed.

Why? EVERYONE does IT.
So, what’s Jordan’s excuse now? With all due respect, I think speaking out vs. Trump is a VERY "safe/easy" thing to do.

Because he doesn't feel like it and there is nothing wrong with that. So, what’s Jordan’s excuse now?
You know that isn't what he is about. So, what’s Jordan’s excuse now?
These statements are always removing context from the year to year operation because we are looking at the totality of a player's (coach's) career. What if I told y'all Phil Jackson won coach of the year only once in his career?
Yea just make sure you type in spoilers please.rodman was a wildman...but hard worker on the court, midway thru ep 4..phil that dude too
Carmen electra still bad

Yes it would seem like one of the best ever should have more but you would need to do a year to year deep dive to determine if he was ever cheated of an award.
He knows what that fan base in NC is definitely about. You know that isn't what he is about.
That suits FOX news, their supporters, and the republican party just fine.Because he doesn't feel like it and there is nothing wrong with that.
This but looking at someone like Jackson who is in the GOAT conversation for NBA coaches you'd expect him to have won at least 3-4 times also considering his time with the Lakers. Just goes to show you how hard it is to win the award each season. Like he prob finished top 5 in voting numerous times. These statements are always removing context from the year to year operation because we are looking at the totality of a player's (coach's) career.

Yea without looking, I don't think CHI had the best record for anymore than 50% of their championship seasons.Looks like he only won it once and that was in 95-96 when they had the most season wins in NBA history (at the time). Figured he would've won more considering they got 6 titles.
There are many other famous people out there other than Jordan and Lebron. Expecting every single one of them to speak out against Trump and any other political issues you don't agree with is just not realistic. Celebrities are people as well just like you and me so if they just want to live their life minding their business, there is absolutely nothing wrong with that. I'm sure the Republican party doesn't care and neither does the Democrat. That suits FOX news, their supporters, and the republican party just fine.

At the height of Jordan's popularity, there were NO Black athletes outside of Muhammad Ali, that could speak to Jordan's popularity. Add to that that young Black people were dying over his shoes, his silence politically was deafening. Since the hood embraced him, making him popular before he was noticed on the global stage, Jordan dropped the ball by not speaking out against the murder of kids over material items. His position gave a voice to corp america, therefor making it seem as if he was okay with those kids dying over his shoes, keeping his mouth shut so he could keep collecting checks. There are many other famous people out there other than Jordan and Lebron. Charles Barkley said it best:At the height of Jordan's popularity, there were NO Black athletes outside of Muhammad Ali, that could speak to Jordan's popularity. It wasn't a good look, and the BOOTSTRAP talk about bad parenting being the result over such madness?
Was incredibly insensitive, and misleading.
Charles Barkley said it best:
Barkley also said that he hated White people, then was forced to apologize. So, I would not use him as a role model for anything.
Don't ever forget how they really feel about Black athletes who are aware of the system. Jordan stayed silent.
