The MMA Thread: DON'T ASK 4 STREAMS & NO GIFS- Cannonier, Imavov, Reyes, Rosas on NOW

New TUF has actually been VERY lit. That liver kick that Domacio Page took Bruh.....

I legit missed Krazy Horse when he was gone.

Edgar/Stephens as prelim headliner for what is supposed to be a "stacked" card like 205 isn't surprising honestly. That has as much to do with Stephens as it does Edgar.

Thought Nover fought OK. Looked a little gun shy. Jab looked good out the gate though. Was just too tentative after. Barao a former champ. Would be good to see Nover against someone further down the FW rankings.

Maybe Barao vs. winner of Edgar/Stephens?

Ty Woodley was in the gym today. Wasn't there though. Always like seeing pros in there. Sizing them up n **** :lol

I wasn't impressed by Barao's performance

Word to GSP

TJ really took his soul.

Sounded like Cruz really studied him for a potential fight one time based on his commentary

BJJ dudes.....

I was ready to join a spot not far from me just to get on the mats.

Still might.

But I was looking for some Martial Arts spots for my son and found 2 more.

One run by two Marcelo Garcia Brown Belts
One that appears to be run by two Renzo Gracie/Danaher Black Belts.

If you were to opt for one lineage vs. another, which way would you lean? I've heard MG in terms of pure BJJ is hard to beat. But I also see what the Renzo/Danaher guys are doing on the competition circuit right now.

I should mention that the Renzo/Danaher BB's spot seems like more of a chain. They have 5 spots in Brooklyn.

I saw the tweets as well. Weird cause yesterday I heard Dana was pushing for Conor/Aldo at 206.

But 205 needs this fight.

He'll keep the 145 belt in case he losses to Alvarez so then the UFC can make Aldo II. But he'll probably drop the belt if he wins the 155 belt. Or well that's how I think they'll do it.

You really can't go wrong with either for your son. both are excellent options. i would probably go with whichever is more affordable.

if it was for you, tho, i would go danaher simply by virtue of being black belts. i really believe it's important to learn from someone who has spent a dedicated lifetime mastering the art.

really can't go wrong with either. danaher, renzo and marcelo are top notch lineages. marcelo garcia is my all-time favorite BJJ player. dude was AMAZING.

Let's see if this turd uses his bruised foot as an excuse when he loses.

Get choked out and barely win a rematch then get a title shot in another weight class. I'd be salty if I was Woodley's lame *** too.

If he keeps his belt, we all should have known. LOL

Dana goes back on his word, again. Don't believe anything that comes out of his fat mouth

With that said, War Mystic Mac. Have no interest in Eddie being champ. Eddie is a much more winnable opponent than RDA for Conor...

Can't say im surprised with the conor/alvarez match. Never believe Dana until it's official lol. I could see conor taking this if he goes for a similar approach as his last fight with Nate. I think Khabib or Ferguson may quick work of him though should he get the lw belt. Or maybe he holds the belt hostage and goes for Aldo rematch lol. Nothing would surprise me at this point.

Wow, i cant believe this fight is going down. Could be a very tough fight for Conor. Eddie could easily outwrestle him the entire 5 rounds, but I also wouldn't be surprised to see Conor sleep him on the first straight left he lands flush.

Excited as ****.

Watching Conor survive the second time against Nate gives me a bit more confidence he can compete with some of the better fighters at 155... his chin (still got dazed but didn't go down) and take down defense improved for sure...

With that said, look at how Eddie fought Pettis. If executes a similar game plan, I don't know. Eddie is one of the best grinders/wrestlers in the division. Nate is by no means a wrestler and doesn't really shoot for take downs, so Conor warding off Nate's takedowns while impressive, isn't the same as stopping Eddie from the takedown

Eddie's chin has been checked and I fully believe Conor could KO him. The shots that Conor hit Nate with would have put down Ferguson and Eddie IMO. Their chins are by no means made of granite

Conor bless. Tickets gonna be a pain to secure now. No one better get injured before the fight.

145 champ :lol what a joke Dana

As for this fight like someone said earlier..I can see Conor putting him to sleep immediately or Eddie griding him out for 5 rounds.
