Probably 170. Max is a big dude. Think they said he walks around 190ish.
I want to see Volk/Max 3. And if Max loses that 3rd fight then just take off half a year to really get to a 55 frame and compete at LW. I don't want to see him take some random LW fights right now then go back to 45. You could see the size and power difference right away when Max fought Dustin.

Yea Max getting to fight Charles should he beat Dustin would be ridiculous but stranger things have happened in the UFC.
Realistically only fight to make is Max/Volk next but can't blame Max for wanting to get paid either.

The first Max/Dustin was at 145. We always forget that Dustin started out at 145.
Max did his thing in the second fight but when we get into the category of significant strikes. Dustin was landing some hard hits. Also, Dustin can wrestle (much to Conor’s chagrin) and BJJ. Max would have gotten destroyed by Khabib. And does he want the same destruction at Islam’s hands. Or try to weather a war with a Gaethje?
Max should just stay at FW for Volk 3. Otherwise, go for money fights like a Diaz, Conor, etc. Hell, call out Yan to move up to 145.

I agree when yair was having success it was because he wasn’t worried about anything but standupLol I’m reading how a lot of people saying max had a bad night. You gotta give more credit to Yair, and this is coming from a max nuthugging fan.
Styles makes fights and this was essentially a boxer vs kickboxer until max changed gears into mma. Yair was spamming leg kicks and tbh it was that and surprise elbows and nothing more. If anything this was Max’s best day, for someone to weather a storm like Yair and dictate the fight.
The whole Conor situation is funny. A year or two ago Conor wouldn’t bat an eye for a max rematch, after a couple of horrible Ls he’s desperate for a star fight

I mean why not build up both khaos and baeza? You just put baeza through a test in ponz in which he failed. Why not give him a lower level less prospect

It actually would make a lot of sense for Leon and Jorge to go after different opponents. The Clobly vs Jorge fight would just make so much more money for both of them and Usman vs Leon is more of a good move for Leon since he's no needle pusher. We'll see if it goes that way.

Bro it’s lawless. Dana is ducking Tony Soprano (been watching the show lately). None of it make sense. They literally destroyed the Shahbazyn hype train. Don’t Aaron Pico these prospects. Like the Alex Pereria fight made no sense. If you know he’s a kick boxer, build him up slow and avoid grappler centric matchups.
Do you guys give much credit to inactivity? Yair was off for two years. And out the gate, he had to fight the former champ and #1 contender. Or Colby. His only tune up prior to the Usman was declining Woodley. Meanwhile, Usman fought four times since their fight and working with a great striking coach.

I agree to some extent that the UFC does have a tendency to pit potential talent against each other too soon, however that’s what makes their league and the sport overall great. It’s not like boxing where the talent pool isn’t as rich and they’ll take all the opportunities to stat pad and milk fighters, but you almost always don’t get the best fights. And that’s what I like about Dana and the crew, they still have bone for putting on the best fights. In the ufc, if you can’t talk the talk but can walk the walk, they’ll put you on that barnburner route.
