Sean Strickland and Colby Covington aren’t really cringe to me.

They’re just flat out offensive and odious.

Izzy massaging his dog’s balls on camera…that’s cringe.

Also, Max Holloway and Dustin Poirier have had plenty of microphone time and I’ve never felt any cringe factor from them.

Or GSP or Jose Aldo or Fedor or Demetrius Johnson or plenty of other great mma champions.

…but you make some reasonable points.

Max and Dustin are pretty reserved and don’t do a lot of interviews. They mostly focus on discussing fights. Dustin is a good dude so he could delve into his charity or side businesses. Max might talk about his kid or wife and obviously talked about the Hawaiian wild fires.

GSP on Rogan does go into his UFO fascination. I’ve picked up some right wing views from DJ. Jose Aldo can’t speak English very well.

You listen to extended interview segments like MMAFighting, MMA Hour, Schmo, SubmissionMMA, etc most of these guys will intentionally step on banana peels and show their butt.

But it’s fair to call some offensive, some cringe, some dumb, etc. I just think it’s a symptom of the social media and intentionally not having a filter.

Jose Aldo housed the Brazilian Trump in Orlando when dude fled Brazil after trying to spark his own Jan. 6 during or after their elections lol.

Hes still one of my favorite fighters ever but there's a lot of grimey dudes in all of combat sports.

I think he'll end up fighting them both next year. He never fights less than twice a year and no one else are new clear contenders after them. Someone would have to beat one of them just to make a case.

I don't see him moving up to 205 either, especially if Perreira wins the belt.

Izzy always calls his shots and has never backed away from it. I'm pretty sure almost every single one of his UFC opponents he had called out previously

He's made it very clear he wants DDP and Chimaev, so I would wager he's going to fight them both

I actually have some hope that if Bo keeps winning and getting his clout, Izzy will acknowledge him too. It took him a little bit to come around on Chimaev

Izzy fights on a consistent basis. He would have fought sooner if it didn’t fit in the UFC’s plans.

Out of all their champs…he’s probably the only one like that (besides the okie doke they were throwing at Aljo).

DDP and Khamzat are definitely on the horizon. I’d probably do DDP first. He seems like the tougher of the two.

He’s got more power than Strickland and has been showing improvements on his ground game. Basically a much better version of Strickland

Strickland honestly was gifted the title shot because DDP couldn’t, understandably, turn around and fight after his recent fight.

Strickland lost to two top Mw contenders in Paotan and Cannonier.

I don’t think we‘re going to agree on this and that’s totally okay.

I’m talking about how guys conduct themselves as fighters while promoting fights and having the mic time in the cage and the decision to promote themselves in a certain way.

GSP talking about aliens on a podcast isn’t the same as Izzy doing dog urination or dropping lines like ”Elsa from Frozen.”

Fedor was a big supporter of Vladimir Putin, a truly despicable human being imo. I didn’t like it, but it didn’t really matter because it had nothing to do with how he conducted himself as a fighter.

Anderson Silva was a little cringe at times, but I didn’t care that much, because he always conducted himself with dignity and class.

There are plenty of great fighters who’ve had the opportunity to promote themselves the way Izzy does and they’ve chosen not to.
