The NBA Draft Thread

Man the sixers really have it made.

Best case scenario, they end up with Ingram/ Simmons, Murray via trade, Ulis and Beasley (Or valentine) at 21 and 24 then, bring in Saric and play Embiid.

Then next year, they will watch the Kings tank and take the better of their picks + Lakers pick which should fall outside of top 3 (assuming they will improve this yeay with coach Luke + #2 - Kobe). We are so set.

No point in drafting Ullis if you're Philly. He's not even better than TJ McConnell.

Wow.....c'mon son you're better than this. I'm both a Sixers and Kentucky fan and can say Ullis is 90000000x times better than TJ McConnell. Please let Ullis fall to one of those picks.

I get why Ulis is falling, the kid is a shrimp and its a league full of giants...but that kid is a baller.

Elite floor general, I'll bet a lot on him being able to run a second unit competently for a long-time.

Still holding out hope ulis pans out

Can't deny that a guy like felder should go ahead or be viewed as perhaps a better prospect

I'd still draft ulis if i had a 2nd round pick

I wouldn't, he's a high volume low % shooter, not an elite athlete, has hip problems and he's 5'9 while being the 3rd lightest weight in NBA history.

I don't see him lasting in the league even as a backup.

:rollin

If you want to draft him in the 2nd round, I guess that's fine. He was great to watch as a college player. But in reality, what is he going to bring you that McConnell can't. Ullis is a shrimp. He's a better scorer than McConnell, but they are probably a wash as far as being a floor general goes, and McConnell is a better defender. Just seems like it would be a wasted pick for a team that has a ton of needs.

Watching some Bender tape

Kid looks like he's gonna struggle to rebound, at least initially. But I can't see him being worse than Brook Lopez career wise on the glass.

Think people are underselling his shot....he had to be more of a scorer at times for Kentucky but think if he didn't have that burden he would have had a much better percentage.

I know he's a shrimp and that enough is reason to think he'll fail but he was the SEC defensive POY so that gives me hope he can guard the PG spot well enough.

Man I kinda wish we could see Bender and KP in the front court together once they hit their prime. That would be scary offensively.

See, I wouldn't necessarily call that a burden though. It's sort of what is expected of most good PGs. I just think his lack of size is going to be extremely detrimental. At least Felder is built like a tank for his size, which is usually necessary for smaller guys like Nate Robinson and IT.

When thinking of IT, Earl Boykins, Muggsy, Nate etc...the one thing they had the Ulis doesn't have is strength, these guys were so damn tough it made up for some of their height disadvantage. Ulis on the other hand is a shrimp and that is my only worry about him.

Good thing building strength is not Rocket science and NBA teams will make sure he has what he needs to do so.

Felder wasn't doing it in a major conference though. Switch around the situations and let Ulis feast against mid-major guards, he might look a little different.

He may very well not make it but I'm riding with him.

Not surprised Chieck is rising up the boards. Kid plays his *** off and motor is constantly on.

In a guard heavy league, I'm surprised Whitehead isn't as high on people's boards. Built like a safety, projects as a plus three-shooter, high turnovers but actually very good passer. 2-guard but can run the point in a pinch.

Hope the Knicks buy a 2nd round pick and make him the pick. Think if he had stayed at Seton Hall, he could have been a lottery pick next year.

Felder vs Washington- 38 pts, 6 rebounds, 9 assists
Felder vs Michigan St- 37 points, 3 rebounds, 9 assists
Felder vs Virginia- 30 points, 1 rebound, 3 assists

His best performances came against high majors...
