In a 12 year career he had 4 seasons at 20+ mpg. So 1/3 of his career. And I'm not really sure how you determined that his teams were better because of him? Cracked 15 or greater PER twice
Huh? I didn't mention about about him getting older. You said when he played 20+ minutes. He only did that 4 times all before age 31 and of those he managed a league average PER once. He just was never really that effective
“He can make decisions well. He shoots it well. He's athletic. He could be a good defender. And you're also looking at a kid who's still 18 years old. His long-term potential as an NBA player is very good. I watched him last summer at the Jordan Gym in New York City, and he made 27 out of 30 NBA 3s. I think people who didn't know him early on -- the obligatory line when you don't know somebody is, he's a really good athlete, but he's not a great shooter, and he's dispelling that this year in France, shooting over 40 percent from the international 3. He doesn't have the polish of a Fultz or Ball or the speed and athleticism or raw athleticism of Fox or Smith, but he has the look and feel of an NBA guard when he grows up.”

Quote from Fran Fraschilla
Go big or go home babyI love DSJr but his bust potential is probably the highest of all the top prospects
tbh, it would surprise me if he wasn't.. who you got going where?Would be surprised if DSJ is even on the board for Knicks
Really?Would be surprised if DSJ is even on the board for Knicks
I believe it comes down to what Orlando does
Really?
That's about the range he's slotted to go. He's obviously not going top 4. He's in play anywhere from 5-10.

If Orlando doesn't take Smith, I believe he'll be on the board for NY. Can't see Minnesota targeting another PG
I don't believe Smith goes before Orlando, unless things drastically change from now until the draft
For me, even after injury and somewhat questionable Freshman season, it's hard to see all of Monk/Tatum/Isaac/Markkenan go before him in the lotto if there are teams willing to try their luck on a boom/bust project (there should be)

What makes Frank a safer pick than DSJ?For me, even after injury and somewhat questionable Freshman season, it's hard to see all of Monk/Tatum/Isaac/Markkenan go before him in the lotto if there are teams willing to try their luck on a boom/bust project (there should be)
If he goes anywhere from 3-6, it wouldn't surprise me, but in the 7-10 range that's an easy pick for me. I actually like Frank better than DSJ as a safe pick but DSJ's probably the best or second best PnR PG in the draft, hard to pass on that potential
