The Memphis Express sounds dope. Too bad the NBA didn't want Memphis to have a corporate name (FedEx's headquarters is in Memphis and has the namingrights to their arena).

Yeah, they should go back to nicknaming teams based on the characteristics of that city's particular region likemost teams did back in the day...

i think if they were a good team san diego definitely could support and nba team. check out the chargers, they were horrible late 90's and there were veryfew die hard fans and now we're good again and everybody and their mom wears a LT or rivers jersey and claims to have loved them forever. its probablypretty safe to say thats how it would be in every city though.

they should have changed a lot of these names when the teams first move to a new city.
After years go by, its too late because tradition and history is built up.
Like Jazz and Lakers have the tradition and its too late to change now.
