THE OFFICIAL 2024 - 2025 DALLAS COWBOYS SEASON THREAD || 3-5 Next Game 11/10 vs. Eagles

Yes Hurd is the kingpin and won't be coming nowhere anytime soon. we had this game and probably win with Romo but it wasn't to be. We need to go mainly D for the draft

I doubt it. Romo hasn't played any better than Orton played tonight. Dallas was just on the wrong end of the turnover battle in a close game.

Nah Ortin was doing to many freaking check downs that we're stupid Romo usually scores like when we got the ball at the 20. He played good for the most part though

Isn't Sam Hurd the drug kingpin? Also, you are a Lakers, Cowboys, and Red Sox fan?

I feel that hate bruh I'm a laker, cowboy, and athletics fan. People always in my *** about it.

I've seen all of my teams home and away go to at least one Dallas game every year have athletics season tickets and catch the lakeshow a few times a season. People who don't even go to games nearby trying to give me flak I just shake my head

I have NO CRITICISM for ortons play. I think he did great. You don't throw that many times an not throw a few bad passes. Stacking the box in the 2nd half? So f!!!!! N what?!? Always a million and one excuses for that F boy garrett. Run the Damn ball.

Orton played as well as he could have, can't believe the d actually showed up and played. Can this team run a damn screen? I truely believe that clock blunder lost the boys this game. This team is bad but they outplayed the eagles tonight. Please make jg the gm and bring in a new coach, say what you want about him but he has had the best drafts of any coach not named parcels and JJ ain't bringing in another parcels.

How did the clock blunder lose Dallas the game when y'all scored on that same series?

You guys like who you like, there's no shame in that. Don't let a few disgruntled fans over their teams lack of success deter you. Somehow people feel better about themselves being a fan of a team that has little to no success such as Philly and criticize those who are fans of teams with success.

Truth is, everyone has their own reasons for liking their teams and there's nothing wrong with that. Some people inherit the fandom through family, some of it is sibling rivalry at a young age, or some of it is player specific. Regardless, teams with no success are always going to attempt to make you feel a certain way for being a fan of a team that has had success because truthfully, they are enraged at their OWN teams lack of success.

As for the Cowboys, we've wasted prime Romo, Witten and Ware. Seems like Dez, Lee, and Tyron are up next.

^^^^^ Real talk. Repped. Even if someone did pick their team mainly because they were winning championship, who cares. As long as you stick with that team through their up and downs you're cool to me.

Eagles fans have been surprisingly tame so far :lol Expected much worse.

Garrett to return for 2014. Guess who will continue to be the GM throughout these past 20 years of success, Jerry Jones.

Jones declined to talk about if he would again make any staff changes but again maintained that Garrett's job was safe.

"I’m not discussing that at all," Jones said. "I have spoken a little more appropriate time here about three or four weeks ago. I said at that time that I was with Jason that I thought that his future and what he’s going to be doing with us was good. But this isn’t the time and I don’t even like the way it feels or looks to speak to anything about our coaches."
Pressed again on Garrett's return, Jones said: "I said that a month ago. I stand by what I said a month ago."

There won't be any changes at head coach, though defensive coordinator Monte Kiffin is not guaranteed to return. And the owner won't be making any changes with the general manager.

Jones said he will remain in charge as owner/general manager and remains committed to getting the Cowboys back in the playoffs.

"I am not discouraged at all," Jones said. "I wouldn’t be doing what I’m doing and have initially got involved if the picture couldn’t be improved. I certainly do believe and am committed, committed with any and all resources that I have, to win and win more than we’re winning at .500 each year."

Asked if he was embarrassed to be .500 for the last three years and 136-136 since 1997, Jones pointed to his pride and joy: AT&T Stadium.

"Would you get embarrassed if you were standing in this stadium?" Jones said. "Seriously. The answer is no. Not at all."

Jerry said if don't make the playoffs the entire staff would be fired. I brought into it, hoping for a loss last night. As soon as the game started my feelings immeadiately change, I wanted that win just as bad as the last two years.

We had it, and gave it right back :{ .. the lack of run game in the 2nd half hurt, but Murray had a total of 22 touches. He should've had 25-30 but I'm not going to dwell on that. The defense showed up and kept us in the game. It came down to one bad throw.

The reaction Jerry made in his suite after the INT leads me to believe he's going to clean house. At least that's what I hope :rolleyes

EDIT: Welp, just read the post above mine, disregard anything I said about Jerry :{ .. Looks like we'll be 8-8 again next season.

As crazy as it sounds.. I don't blame Jason Garrett..

Jerry Jones is and continues to be the problem at GM. Any other GM would have been fired years ago.

I wonder how crazy it must be behind closed doors working for Jerry Jones. You don't do what Jerry says, he fires you, you do what Jerry says and it doesn't work because it's stupid, he fires you. I wouldn't be surprised if he was behind the horrific pass/run balance.

I mean think about it, he hired Bill Callahan to call the plays. If he had a problem with the pass/run balance, it would have been corrected ASAP or Callahan would be fired.

I believe that was right after the game last night though. Not sure how he's feeling today. We'll just have to wait and see.

If Jerry does fire Garrett, it won't be today. Jerry loves attention and wouldn't fire him on Black Monday with all the other HC's and coordinators getting fired. He'd wait until the NFCCG or SB week to fire him to make his "splash."

Personally, I think Romo saved Garrett's job.

Mo was awesome last night. The defense is so much better when he's healthy. Encouraging sign for next season too. Holloman was nice to see, and the O line was incredible. Won't get mad if it stays the same next year. Fredrick and Leary should both improve, and Tyron might be the best player on the team. Became a believer in Murray this season, and Dunbar is a nice change of pace back, Escobar impressed me when he was on the field. Hopefully Carter can bounce back next year, and I think he will. Should be able to focus solely on safety and Dline in the draft.

Just waiting to see how they announce it, probably along the lines of Kiffin retiring. I don't think Jerry will come out and say he was fired. Should be interesting.
