THE OFFICIAL 2024 - 2025 DALLAS COWBOYS SEASON THREAD || 3-5 Next Game 11/10 vs. Eagles

Callahan is upset about the hiring of Linehan ... Apparently Callahan will remain the OC, run game coordinator, and OL coach since Dallas won't let him out of his contract. Linehan will call the plays and also be the pass game coordinator.

Only in Dallas :{ a dysfunctional circus! Hire one guy to run the damn offense already, too many Indians and no Chiefs!!!

:{ too many guys running the offense. Players gonna hear 3 different things from three different coaches

Gonna have Romo editing the plays that come in (perfectly fine with that), Callahan coming up with the game plan I presume, Linehan calling the plays, and you know Garrett will want to put his stamp on things

Never been a Cowboys fan but I've always loved Jerry.

I know its been obvious to everyone for awhile but my guy has finally lost it. :{

I just pray Stephen isn't like him. Everybody claims he isn't but I don't know, daddy has to have some influence on the way he'll run things.

And the last two years Jason has wanted Norv, and had him to the point of coming, and Jerry said no because they're too similar... SMFH

At the very least, this does show that Garrett has some authority. This was clearly a Garrett hire. Peep their [Linehan and Garrett] history.

For such an "offensive minded genius", Garrett sure does need a lot of help running the damn thing.

Interesting how for the past 8 years different people have been brought in, or have attempted to be brought in, to help aid Garrett. Remember Dan Reeves in 2009? Wade wanted Reeves to act as a "consultant" in regards to the offense. Reeves came in, saw how this organization was run, and Usain Bolted his way out of Valley Ranch :lol

Best part of this though is that if Garrett fails next year, I think Jerry will clean house across the board.

Starting to come around to using a mid round pick at wr, then we can start cutting payroll with miles. I know that ware is untouchable so I'm hoping that maybe Carr becomes the second June 1st cut. Next year I believe it will be romo who gets the axe in the offseason and a new coaching staff brings in their own "guy" at qb

Carr is going to get cut. We already have guys that cant cover and Mo is never healthy. You cut Carr you are basically leaving us with just Scandrick.

Miles may be gone, dez and Williams are good pieces to build with but we would need to pickup someone else also.

Miles is most definitely gone.

I swear that 'restructure Ware' article better had been false. His cap hit is MASSIVE. He needs to take a paycut. I hate being loyal. I'm loyal to the Cowboys not the players, despite my factuation with Dez :lol .

If it means the team is better off in the long haul by getting rid of older vets then so be it.

It's not false. He himself said he wouldn't take a paycut. He'll restructure.

"@jonmachota: WR targets over last 3 years: Megatron 518, Marshall 499, Welker 459, A.J. 457, Fitzgerald 445, V. Jackson 421, Roddy 420, Dez Bryant 400."

:{

"@jonmachota: TD receptions over the last 3 seasons: Dez Bryant 34, Calvin Johnson 33, Eric Decker 32, Jordy Nelson 30, A.J. Green 29, Brandon Marshall 29"

:smokin Dez is definitely the most consistent/best touchdown catcher in the league

There are two stories to this.

Immediately after our season ender, Ware said he would be willing to take a paycut if it meant for the betterment of the team.

The very next day, his agent came out and stated that he would not take a paycut.

My guess is his agent probably got a hold of him and was like "Ughh, don't ever publically say that" :lol .

Interesting stuff. Dez the least targeted despite the fact that I believe he has only missed one game in that time frame whereas all the others have missed multiple.

Dez is definitely the most consistent/best touchdown catcher in the league

I agree, but don't say that outside of a Cowboys forum because you'd be called "irrational" and whatever ridiculous names people can conjure up to categorize Cowboys fans.

Dez does this despite all of the following:

1. Playing for an extremely dysfunctional organization (biggest hurdle)

2. An offense that refuses to move him around, literally telling Dez "Line up here and get open."

3. An offense that lacks creativity PERIOD.

4. Sometimes receiving 2 targets a game.

Oh I know not to say that to anyone other than Cowboys fans :lol Though I will say, after Sean Lee, Dez is probably the most well regarded Cowboy on here.

If you don't like or respect the man Dez Bryant then you don't like or respect yourself!

He's my favorite player all time yes I just said that flame suit is ready

No need to put on a flame suit bro, if that's your favorite player all time that's perfectly fine. Right now, he's in my top 3 as far as favorite active players go along with AP & Peyton Manning.

Growing it was the triplets obviously, but idk something about Dez I saw him at OK State and he just blew me away I was like wow this guy is going to be a beast.

Outside of Dez I'm a huge Tom Brady fan and Luke Kuechly is probably my favorite defensive player right now he's legit. Big Cam fan too

I'm with you, I use to watch him at OK St and drool hoping he would wear the star on his helmet one day! Glad that wish came true.

Growing up, I was a huge Mike Irvin and Deion fan. Didn't care for Troy & Emmitt but used to love arguing with SF fans about how much better they were than Young & Watters lol ...

Not too big on Brady but I respect what he has accomplished as a player. Luke is a beast, him and Lee play with that endless motor, so does Vontaze Burfict from Cincy :smokin
