THE OFFICIAL 2024 - 2025 DALLAS COWBOYS SEASON THREAD || 3-6 Next Game 11/18 vs. Texans Monday Night Football

What we've seen from Romo today was vastly different than the Romo we know. He was shifty, indecisive, and had zero zip on his ball. Generally with Romo, he looks great, makes a few boneheaded plays but looks great again. This was Romo looking bad all around, missing WIDE open receivers. His back is clearly an issue and as an avid Romo supporter, it's safe to say that he's done. I've watched him for 8 years now and he's never looked this way before. Troy had a similar game after his back surgery before he had to call it quits. What I saw from Romo today was what I saw in that game with Troy.

We have to go QB this year even if it means moving up.

P.S. Manziel still would have been a dumb pick, unless our goal was to surpass Real Madrid as the wealthiest sports franchise in the world.

F what you heard. This defense is going to be all right.

Truth. Everyone saw the interception to dez should have been to TW, the interception in the end zone he had Harris wide open on the slant
beforehand but held it and just lobs it up. He got lucky with the Hail Mary to Harris. Bad all around.

All his ints were on first down. :{

Jerry just confirmed that Romo audibled out of the 1st and goal play which led to only 3 points. It was originally a run.

Romo singlehandedly lost the game. We are talking about 18 points off of his bonehead moves. A run would have been a sure TD. They only had like 1 rush that lost yards all game.

These are the type of bonehead decisions that are difficult to tolerate.

Man if Romo came out there today and looked like the second coming of Joe Montana I'd still say we'd need to go QB in the draft next year.

QB, then defense defense defense. This is the third youngest team in the league, if we can get a QB soon, we might be decent for a while.

Of course we need to go QB. Looks to be a good draft for QBs. Even if we hold the QB as a backup for a couple of years.

But I'm not low as some of you are on Romo. First game off a back injury & surgery, that's always going to be rough. Going to be rust. Let's wait and see a couple weeks down the line.

Romo looked better in the second half. The TD drive at the end of the 4th was pretty good, he was calm, poised.

The rush defense was pretty good for most of the night, couple of misplays. The pass defense was done for, just horrible.

Offensively, Demarco looked good. Beasley & TW looked good. So that's a positive.

Damn... that 2nd and one play had me so damn pissed.
Romo did not look good out there at all.
I'm going to hold judgement until week 3.

If he still looks crappy we should definitely get Bryce Petty Or Marcus Mariota.

I was there today and there's no doubt in my mind that the Niners fans were louder than us.

Two things that screwed us today besides Romo playing like Chad Hutchinson.
1. The fumble return for a touchdown. Different angles prove it wasn't a fumble.
Problem with that is the angle doesn't show Murrays right knee is down because of the pile of players.

2. What made Justin Durants dumb *** think he was superman and could dive for the ball, and then land on his feet?
This dude is the epitome of a practice player. All they talk about down here is "how great Justin Durant looks in practice." And I have yet to see him make a play that impacts any game he has played in.
Ironically enough he went out with an injury and the defense looked a lot better. Don't wish anything bad on the dude, but just seems like the defense was better without him.

Let's just put the thread on hold till like thu . I need a break. Don't know what imma watch in the morning...

Can't put it on hold when you live in Dallas and have been telling 49ers fans how bad we were going to beat them.
And I've got to see those same 49er fans first thing in the morning.
At least the Saints lost too, so I don't have to put up with their stupidity all week.

Defense played good guys! Antonio Romo cost us this game, quite obvious. Defensive line got GREAT pressure but, secondary was rusty in the first half. Rolando and Bruce Carter were lights out!

Outside of the fumble I LOVED the running game, Murray was a beast.

I'm done with Tony Romo, done defending him, done supporting him too. Not sure he can play at a high level anymore. I know it's one game, but everything I saw yesterday was exactly what I feared coming back from that injury.

IDK anymore, this team is so far away from competing for a Super Bowl its sad. One offseason won't fix it either, they need like three good offseasons to fix their issues. Honestly I hope this team loses like 13 games so we can get Marriota, because this Romo guy is clearly not the same and what I saw yesterday was disgusting. He was careless, sloppy and could not even see the guys who were wide open.

It's really going to get ugly this year

Outside of Tony Romo, this team could have won that game with the type of average QB play you can get with a Kyle Orton. I wouldn't hit the panic button yet.

This team is good enough to win the division. They played as good as the 49ers yesterday outside of the QB position.

No morale victories. But the defense looked better than I expected all things considered. I'm over Mo Claiborne. Carr was a target out there too. Smh. McClain looked good going downhill. Nobody looked good in coverage.

I'm not ready to give up on romo, that was the worst game I've ever seen from him IMO. He looked tentative, unsure, and real careless in his decision making. I'll reserve judgement until a few more games are played.

Very disappointed to find out he checked out the run on the goal line also. Thought those were problems of the past. Guess the more things change the more they stay the same.

You know its bad when you have a top 3 WR & TE but your get frightened everytime your veteran *********** Qb put the ball in the air.

:{

I didn't watch the second half, was too disgusted, turned back the game on with 7 minutes left and watched us score, but was surprised SF didn't score any pts in the second half.

Yes, they should have won the game, but do you know how many times I have said that in the last 5-6 years? Nothing has changed there, they always give games away, that has not changed at all.

The Cowboys combined with Charles and Doug Martin combing for about 4 fantasy pts, which if they scored like 8-10 pts each I would have won my game, have me really hating football right now and that is sad.
