THE OFFICIAL 2024 - 2025 DALLAS COWBOYS SEASON THREAD || 3-6 Next Game 11/18 vs. Texans Monday Night Football

Outside of Tony Romo, this team could have won that game with the type of average QB play you can get with a Kyle Orton. I wouldn't hit the panic button yet.

This team is good enough to win the division. They played as good as the 49ers yesterday outside of the QB position.
I didn't watch the second half, was too disgusted, turned back the game on with 7 minutes left and watched us score, but was surprised SF didn't score any pts in the second half.

Yes, they should have won the game, but do you know how many times I have said that in the last 5-6 years? Nothing has changed there, they always give games away, that has not changed at all.

The Cowboys combined with Charles and Doug Martin combing for about 4 fantasy pts, which if they scored like 8-10 pts each I would have won my game, have me really hating football right now and that is sad.

They always give games away because they have never been good enough to overcome mistakes. They've always been an 8-8 team, which is average and average teams can't overcome boneheaded plays or the QB gifting the other team 21 points.

A long time ago Dallas played SF in the NFC Championship game in Barry Switzer's first year. Dallas gifted them 21 points to start the game and they could not come back from the deficit to win.

No trolling

But I thought you guys played well enough to win or be in more competitive game yesterday but Scott Linehan wasn't helping your cause and Romo's deep ball accuracy has slipped, something I noticed last year.

Thought it was just me. I couldn't watch that garbage... couldn't rationalize watching/wasting another two hours of my life.

Did anyone else see these "analyst" on FOX, NBC, & NFL network trying to defend this dude Romo?

Please tell me someone else saw R. Harrison, LT etc. etc. saying;

"Well....when you're a QB and know your defense is that bad you have to go out there and try to make plays every time you put the ball up."  ??!?!?!?!?!?

Rodney Harrison also said "He is so reckless with the ball. If I'm a teammate of his, I'm very disappointed."

My wife said it best:
Hopefully he got all that scariness and hesitancy out his system this game.

49er fans at my job know they were two run plays away from losing that game.
That 49ers secondary was horrible, Romo was just worst.
Murray should have had 150yds rushing and 3 touchdowns.
What happened to Dunbar after the first couple of drives?

i threw up when i heard that crap.

all on ROMO

with that said, our D has to do better on 3rd down.

Thought about something this morning. Scandrick should flourish in this defense, because he is best when playing around the line of scrimmage and blitzing off the edge.
Sterling Moore was running up in there and stopping.
When Scandrick comes on the blitz he's getting to the quarterback 75% of the time.

I didn't hear him say that, I changed the channel after he started the statement out with what I referenced above just because I was so disgusted I had just heard the same-thing on the NFL network... knowing good and well those horrible throws had nothing to do with having an unproven defense.

He also said he would be pissed because the quarterback is just throwing the ball to anybody, and it seems like Romo doesn't care.

I just couldn't watch it, I did tune back just to see what was going on and saw the last 5 or 6 minutes where we scored

The offense is under pressure to make something happen every play, but what Romo did yesterday was unacceptable, he was terrible

should've drafted Manziel, guarantee he wins that game

Romo played terrible and I'm no longer defending dude but yall hyping up Manziel like he's rookie of the year. Nothing that I've seen thus far from Manziel shows me that he would have came to Dallas and done amazing things thus far. Let him be a Cleveland Brown and let's see how week 2 plays out for Dallas.

I'm the only one who likes Manziel in here and I am not even hyping him up, 1- He's a young and talented QB, which we don't have. 2-He's fast and quick, he would have given that 49ers defense fits all game long. I'm telling you he wins that game.

I think Romo's time as an elite or very good QB is over, hopefully I am wrong though

Nah Chia, your boy Johnny Football isn't ready for the NFL yet. Dude can't even pick up the playbook, you basically have to let him play street football out there in order to see positive results. He would've looked worse than Romo yesterday, he can't even beat out Hoyer, c'mon fam :lol

According to what as far as the NFL goes? In college, yes but he hasn't proved anything yet (I want the kid to win).

@ guaranteeing Manziel would've won yesterday.

Hoyer wins that game too if it means anything

offensively we left a lot of plays out there

if you get drafted in the 1st round I think that says you are talented

time will tell on Manziel, again I just think Dallas missed on an opportunity with a QB falling to them, next time they may not get that lucky and will have to reach or sigh trade up for one

Never liked romo and now he looked liked straight trash.... We should of gave up on this fool long ago
.
...that lost was on him. Dudes been a f up forever.

and f Jerry Jones...
