THE OFFICIAL 2024 - 2025 DALLAS COWBOYS SEASON THREAD || MEH

Missed most of the game, but I did catch that drop by Dez and that PI call on Clairborne that kept the Chiefs drive alive.

And what happened to more balance offense Callahan and co were touting going into the season?

Seems like it's always one step forward, two steps back with this team.

This game was close throughout, at no point was it anything near a shootout, with that said...

Our running backs combined total amount of carries= 13

I agree, major step backwards

They still can't run block

Callahan has been awful in two games, one more bad game they need to demote him. They need to hire a young OC with a more aggressive system. Jay Gruden was a great hire in Cinnci, we need something similar

Yeah this offense is just way too simple. Dez would probably get 3-4 deep ball targets a game if he was with any other team :{ And if I see one more wide receiver screen I might kill myself. But I am really really impressed with the defense so far. Forced 6 turnovers first game. Held the Chiefs to 17 when they had great field position all game. With the guys we have on offense there is no reason we should lose any game when the opposing team only scores 17.

We do need some type of change with the play calling tho. Don't know if I'd say fire Callahan after two games, but something needs to change the

These games here are the type of games that keep us at 8-8. :{ just hoping we arent looking back on this game at the end of season

If the play-calling is this bad next game, put me on the fire the play caller train, we have the tools to make the super bowl NOW.

Defense has been playing flawless these past two games and all we have to show for it is 1-1.

The Ravens did it and still won the SB last year, it's not a deal breaker by any means.

Tied for first place with the Philadelphia Ducks.
Dolphins are 2-0.
What do they know that we don't?

I refuse to believe our O-line can block backing up, but can't block going forward.
Our run plays are horribly designed.
There's no motion to get the linebackers to move or even make them think.
Garrett is holding this offense hostage and might not make it to the second half of the season.
Jerry ain't trying to hear that 8-8 nonsense again.

didn't watch much of the game (same time as the texans game)

flipped back and forth so i caught pieces. the pick romo threw to berry that got called back was kind of suspect :{

why didn't demarco get more touches?

When you find out let me know :{

So frustrating. It was a close game all day so it's not like we were behind and had to pass. Only ran the ball once in the fourth quarter. A scramble by Romo :{ :{ :{ :{ :{ If they were throwing to Dez 24/7 I wouldn't be as mad but they inexplicably stopped feeding him after he beasted on one of the best corners in the game. It's like it's still preseason and they're trying to hide their offense.

Dez could have had a 250 yard game yesterday if they kept giving him the rock. Flowers is a great cover corner and he was getting eaten up. This team isn't ready for the Seahawks or Niners, 8-8 season. I do like how the DL looked, wish we changed back to a 4-3 years ago.

Garrett and his cronies are this teams achilles heel.
They don't have a football pedigree and don't have a desire to win.
Garretts offense is a 1-AA offense at best.
We have legit NFL talent on offense, but not a legitimate NFL offensive strategy.
He has to let Callahan infuse his offensive strategy into our scheme.
We can't continue like this.

i also checked in for one play where the cowboys had 3rd and goal, stacked 3 receivers on the right and dez by himself on the left against flowers. flowers had no safety help. why the hell they didn't just throw it up to him i'll never understand. instead, they ran a bubble screen to williams :{

Garrett won't get fired if he loses to STL. This isn't a Wade Phillips situation yet. Romo has to audible out of that play call (bubble screen). He's got a firm grasp of the offensive system and is very good at adjusting at the line, but he made a poor decision by running that play. If he sees single coverage on Dez from that formation, audible out of that play or run hot routes with the three stacked WRs and give Dez that opportunity to make a play one on one. This team is terrible at screen passes, has been since 2009. Callahan is a west coast guy, his two yard patterns yesterday killed any chance we had of winning that game. It's getting harder and harder to be a fan of this team.

Hey crack, you still think Rat is done playing for us? He could be a huge addition to our D-Line. Our defense looks good, our offense just wets the bed smh.

If Selvie keeps playing like this, i wouldnt mind re-signing him.

I want us to make playoffs so bad but i see an 8-8 season smh

I think Rat doesn't even play for us this year. IMO he doesn't want to be here and will just milk his injury. NOW if he does play for us, and he is healthy, then he will be a beast for us on the 4-3 in that attacking get up field role. Selvie should start until Spencer can play three downs. Use Spencer in the nickel/third down packages and he could play some strong side linebacker and rush from standing up much like he did in the 3-4. Selvie should be re-signed now, he looks great so far.

Oh and I'm with you, 8-8. Up and down, up and down, they never get consistent and win close games. Talent wise, this team is good but that OL still cannot run block and that will prevent them from doing anything.

Last season, the last half of the season due to the injuries it was our defense that was hurting us. and our offense was bringing us back.

Now it's flipped Defense is keeping us in the game and Offense is currently on the back of a milk carton....

This team can never be on the same page on either sides of the ball.

Selvie is the goods, he's happy to be here and doesn't take plays off which is very refreshing as a Cowboys fan.

STL up next and if we give them their first win..... its gonna be a long season.

Rams won their first game Week 1 and lost last week to the Falcons in ATL, the Rams are not scrubs.
If whoever the hell is controlling this offense from a play-calling standpoint continues to call these extra basic a*s games we're not going anywhere fast, for once I actually think Jerry has provided all the pieces from a talent/experience side of things to be successful NOW... no way he's settling for anything less than making it to the 2nd round of the playoffs.
