THE OFFICIAL 2024 - 2025 DALLAS COWBOYS SEASON THREAD || MEH

Yeah we blew 10 mill this year on franchising him. This may be a blessing in disguise though. Allows Selvie to continue to step up, and other people step up as well. Plus, we may be able to resign Spencer cheap this way. Say what you want, but he was a FORCE last season.

Yep that's the one upside. Spencer could very well be had for cheap now. Teams will be scared of that knee. Sad for him but great for the team. But with the way Marinelii has these guys playing it's not as bad losing him as it could be. Second in the league in sacks. Though I can't imagine how good the Line would be with a 100% healthy Ratliff and Spencer :x

there really isn't a positive here for either side, we needed that guy this year

I would just draft a DE next year, move on, Spencer was great last year but now a knee injury and he's getting old, shame though

I have faith in the defensive staff.

The fact that we're saying "what if George Selvie gets hurt" validates that :lol

Our Defense :hat :hat :hat

D.Murray :hat

Romo :hat

Our O-line :hat

The Giants, Redscrubs, & Eagles still being bums :hat

On another note, the Giants thread is pure awesomeness right now. The ******** thread has like 5 posts since that DHall fumble recovery against Philly. 95% of Skins fans are gone :lol

12-4 at worst :rollin :rollin :rollin :rollin :rollin :rollin :rollin :rollin

Selvie was part of that UCF squad that wreaked havoc on a lot of top tier teams.
He was virtually unstoppable but was extremely raw.
He said this is the best coaching he has ever received.
Great talent added with great coaching usually produces decent players.
The best part is he seems to have a passion for the game and a good work ethic.

Not UCF it was USF and we was the DE opposite JPP dude was a beast I think all American looked like a first round pick but idk he fell off

I'd try to lock him up now on a reasonable deal

You're right it was USF. I forgot JPP was on that squad too.
They were on that squad that beat Florida State.

They had a good team Nate Allen at safety too

BJ Daniels USF too looked great in preseason by far the backup QB id go after Mallett

the Boys signed DRAKE REVIS! its the best of both worlds! Drake and Revis morphed into a DT!

seriously though I guess a lot of Colts fans were pissed when he got cut and said he'd be great in a 4-3 (they run a 3-4 and Nevis had to two-gap instead of attack)

Monte Kiffin working the waiver wire like a man on a mission.
Seems as though Jerry has given the defensive staff a green light to do whatever they want.

I thought the throat slash played out a few years ago.
It's a dumb gesture and Dez just won't leave the dumb stuff alone.
He should be held out the first offensive series.
Gotta continue to show him tough love for a little while longer.

Hopefully he can play similar to Russell Maryland and flush the Qb left or right.
One step left and D Ware smashes you.
Take a step to the right and Selvie is sacking you.
If our secondary and linebackers hold up, this defense will be nasty going into December.

Cowboys signed CB Chris Greenwood off the Lions practice squad .. SJ you're right, the defensive staff can do whatever they want at this point.

We will really see where this Defense is at these next 2 weeks.

Our D-line will be HUGE that game. Gotta get Peyton off his spot and make him move.

A game before a big one next week. Hopefully we show up and play this week. Need a big day from the offense week.

Miles and Harris didnt practice today

Chargers will be a good test game before the Broncos come to town.
Similar offenses with a pass first mindset, and no legitimate running game.
Rivers will challenge our corners, which should keep them from being shell shocked when Peyton and his circus come to town.

I was really optimistic about the Denver game going into the season, but the Broncos look like they're on a mission. Have to win this week. Can't start 2-3,even with the division problems.

Denver is beatable. How many times have we seen Peyton look like this in the reg season and finish up with only 2-4 losses and then end up losing in the playoffs? I can see us winning that game, seems like no one believes. When our Offense is clicking, its a march down the field take time off the clock type O, and that takes possesions away from Peyton. If we can get pressure from a 4-man rush then we are more than in that game.
