This Denver game is the type of game the Cowboys win since everyone is counting them out. Still not too worried with the division being as trash as it is.

We started 2-2 in 2009 also.

We dropped to 8-5 after losing to the Gmen and had the undefeated Saints the following week.

We'll have to commit to running the ball though.

Anyone notice how we never run it on 2nd down?

3rd and 2 we went four wide, and Harris dropped the ball.
DeMarco was 14/70. That's 5yds a carry.
Imagine if we gave him the ball 25 times what our offense would be like.

What? Peyton is a surgeon dude, he doesn't just get a play from the OC and run it, he understands defenses like no other qb and that's why he's having the success that he is having. Romo doesn't prepare the way he needs to in order to avoid being predictable in tight situations and teams use that against us.

The play Williams fumbled on was trips right with Dez split wide left.
Why not let Dez be part of the trips, and split the rookie out wide?
Witten and I think Harris cleared out to let Williams come underneath.
In the redzone I would rather that be Dez or someone with more experience in those situations.
At this point in the season I would want to keep Williams as far away from the action as possible after what he did in the Giants game, and all his drops.

Teams would still line up to have more focus on Dez from the start of the play and that's why they used Williams instead. In a situation like this Peyton is going to change things up at the line, I'm not expecting Romo to call 3125161223151 audibles/hot routes like Peyton but he has to step up and change something that he feels/sees isn't right based on the play called and at this point in his career he should have the ability to see things and adjust this late in a game. I'm definitely not blaming Romo for the L because Williams should've taken more care of the ball (rookie or not) but I was just responding to the Denver/Demarius Thomas comment. You said it's design and play calling, do you think Peyton runs every play called by the OC? Naw bro he makes adjustments based off of the defense and the situation from hours of studying which Jerry Jones has mentioned Romo doesn't do.

Were talking about the NFL.
If your a NFL head coach and/or offensive coordinator, it's your job to get the ball to your best players.
It shouldn't matter what coverage they play on Dez.
Motion, alignment, route design, these are all things that helps get your best receiver open so he can help the team win.

Came out flat, offensive gameplan sucked, defense showed their true colors, pass defense was awful, stopped throwing it to Dez, I could go on and on about all of the negatives

Terrence Williams had a pretty decent game outside of that play. Awful play cant do that, but he's a young kid he'll be fine.

It baffles me how they use Dez. Julio was doubled all night yesterday, Matt and the OC still gave him chances. I trust Dez to go and get any ball thrown to him. But it seems like Romo/Garrett/Callahan are more worried about keeping the pick numbers abnormally low

Murray starts the game off with a ten yard run and then averages 6 ypc and they just abandon the run Regardless of the way this season ends, they need to hire a new OC.

if your not going to target one of the best WRs in football at least 12-15 times a game, then trade him because its a waste

2nd half offense was gross, Murray was getting 5 yards a pop on early downs and they just stopped running the ball and went to three wide receiver sets, if your going to throw the ball throw it to your best player Dez

this is why I said all week, don't trust this team

Denver may drop 50 this week on them, Dallas has no chance this game, I may put money on Denver because I am that confident we get destroyed

It's like the team is more concerned with repairing Romo's image as a gun slinger than winning. This conservative stuff is going to kill me. Has to drive Dez crazy.

I just don't even know what to say anymore at this point. Same **** over and over, no consistency .. every time we find something that works we do a complete 360 .. we're allergic to running the ball 25-30 times per game, it's simply not in our game plan unless we play the Rams :x .. I thought we learned our lesson with Dez after the KC game but nope another 2nd half shut out

That defensive zone got exposed yesterday, I see why USC's secondary gave up the most points under Kiffin's tenure

I wont lie, I've lost most of my interest in the team this year. At this point all I care about is Dez.

Not going deep can be due to a multitude of things, including Garrettt, Callahan, and Romo collectively. Callahan is known for running more of a west coast/dink n dunk type of offense. Garrett was always known for his variation of Air Coryell. What's ironic is that we ran the Air Coryell offense when that offense specifically is designed for having big offensive linemen that can protect your QB. Generally, a west coast offense is run so your QB can get the ball out of his hands quickly. Our offensive line has improved since last year, perhaps enough to run the Air Coryell offense. Problem is, Garrett is no longer calling plays. This again, starts at the top with Jerry.

I'm not Garrett's biggest fan but I truly do not believe he is all at fault here. We are obviously in "win now" mode but which head coach do you think would be willing to come here and work under Jerry? A big name would never come here, period so forget the Cowher's and Gruden's of the world. The problem will always start at the top so we're going to have to win in spite of Jerry.

There's still plenty of time to turn things around; we are #1 in the division after all. I'm leaning more towards this season being similar to the one in 2009 when we started 2-2. Winning against Denver this Sunday could propel us to where we could possibly be. But as someone else said, we are allergic to running the ball. If anyone on that team thinks we can win in a shootout this weekend needs to be released/fired immediately. We will most definitely have to control the TOP and keep Peyton on the sidelines and we CANNOT settle for FG's. Peyton will make you pay.

The awesome thing about being a Cowboys fan is seeing how many people get upset when you start pulling wins together. I swear if we ever make it back to the SB, dudes will off themselves.

The success of the cowboys in the 90s makes it hard to get gassed up with this team. I watched how a team was built and assembled then coached to be arguably the best team ever.

So since the 90s I've been waiting to see them get back to that greatness, but they can never get over the mediocre hump.

Maybe they prove me wrong this year but it's getting ugly and we could be 2-3 soon

Wish you were around during that 2007 season. NT' servers almost couldn't handle it. Gifs, videos, etc you name it. It was a full on party in that thread with non cowboys fans. That thread alone lasted weeks and we get an occasional bump. I've never seen people so happy to see another team eliminated from contention. But that year we were primed to go all the way and had a lot of people nervous.

Just in the WIR thread alone you can witness the blatant bitterness and hatred. How on earth can you compare Schaub to Romo this year? Dudes really saying they are on the same level. One QB has thrown multiple pick 6's in back to back weeks and the other has completed 73% of his passes and has a 8 TD to 1 INT ratio. What's pretty funny is that if it were Romo who threw those picks, this board would be loaded with memes/gifs.

I remember when I was 9 (last time we won the SB ), we ended up playing the Giants opening day and Emmitt broke out for that 95 yard TD run, and we went on to win 35-0. My brother was at his friends house who is a die hard Giants fan and I remember going through my brothers phone book, looking his number up, and calling him asking how he felt. He hung up the phone and told his mother that I was no longer allowed at his house for being "disrespectful" and couldn't see his little sister who I was friends with also at the time. Mind you, he was 19 (ten years old than me) and his father cosigned the **** .

I also remember him calling my brother laughing hysterically after we had gotten rid of Jimmy Johnson and he proceeded to talk about how happy he was. Mind you, the Giants didn't do **** that 1994 season, but he was content with the Cowboys losing in the NFC Championship. These two incidents alone made me realize the Cowboys hatred is real.

What's interesting is the hatred has grown despite the fact that we've been mediocre all these years which is exactly why I said, the moment we get back to the SB, I fear for many Cowboys fans lives outside of Texas

Yeah Giants fans are some weaklings when there Big Blue aint smashing heads in.
I remember being in New Jersey visiting family as a kid, and I had on a Tony Dorsett jersey/shirt (yeah I'm old ) on a day we visited NY.
Now I'm only 7yrs old and some NY a**hole, a complete stranger, asked my uncle what I was doing wearing that shirt.
My uncle told him I was from Texas, and the dude was like, "oh ok."
I was grown before I realized why he was so concerned about me wearing that shirt.
