Midsole was too white for my taste. Tried my hand at giving it the “Union” treatment. Waiting on the spare laces to come in.

And most importantly, the upper eyelet panel is not mesh like on the McFlys... which is the only pair ever to feature that.

This shoe started my addiction with buying kicks, I used to rock one pair a year and never had the right money to start collecting them. Before the new shape was announced in 2016, I was hunting these down on eBay and ended up with 3 more pairs for future. I still wear the good pair today when the weather is bad and have the others on ice.

First AM1 was a pair 2006 iDs I made believe it or not. I was a freshman in college, my professor was showing the class this "new technology" that Nike had just dropped and pulled it up on the projection screen and played around with it. I went home a few hours later, made some wild *** colorway and ordered them. Little did I know what I was getting myself in to...

Back then you got the dope pull out drawer box, the gold bag, and awesome shape with the split outsole.

You may have seen this color way before on fake China sites, I have no idea why....but nearly the same iD I made 13 years ago is sold on fake sites haha I couldn't find the pic but I've seen it before.

Here they are, heavily worn but still some life left in them!

This album came out in 1988 I was in high school and I had to have the shoes KRS had on couldn't afford them until a few years later. I was in my early 20's in the mid 90's and had some really dope Air Max's and other various Nike running shoes over the years but the AM1 is what started it all for me. I'm 47 and still a sneakerhead.

40. First pair was in 1996 from a Finish Line outlet. It was a pair of 1/90, all white leather with a Carolina blue swoosh. I bought them to wear with a short sleeve cream Coogi sweater haha. Couldn’t tell me nothing!

45 here and been a sneaker head since 1985 when mom bought me the silver nylon Vandals for $20 at a mom and pop. Believe it or not, my first pair of AM1 was bought this year - the curry retro bought at Marshall’s for $45. I was always into the latest performance and now that I’m ending my basketball days I’m going back and grabbing all the Reebok classics and Nike runners I ignored.

45 here, as well. Can't quite remember my first pair, but during gym class in HS, I'd wear 1 Fire Red Jordan 5 and 1 Reebok Pump on the other foot and when heads would ask wtf? I'd tell 'em "Pump Up and Air Out" (old Dennis Rodman Reebok commercial) - Yes, hella corny, but I was fortunate to have both pairs at the time and wanted to gloat!
