Well secured a pair of the Amsterdam now i just need to grab the london pair. Something about both of these tells me if I dont pick them up now I will be highly regretting it later.

A lot of people don’t realize how different the build of these are compared to the general release pairs.

Had some extra time on my hands lately so I ordered some paint and tried my first custom. still need some touch ups but I like them better than the original so I’m happy.

All this reshaping talk got me to dusting these out of the box and finally make them look better.

It’s hard not to crease the toes when reshaping. How do people do it perfectly?! But shape > creases in the end.

I use those ikea type shoe trees and cover them with 2 thick wool socks then go at it. Keeps the material tight in the process also use heat on the midsoles to flatten them out at the same time, helps keep the shape.

Pretty nice! Use shoe tree, as someone said wrap socks around tree to give more area. I’d use a steamer at first and go by hand. Iron would be last resport in a way for me. (Coming from someone who hasn’t done a reshape but just been following along )

IMO shoe trees are the key with the reshape I used a white tshirt , iron on medium , spray bottle and liked my results

Did you spray water on the toe box or on the shirt before ironing?

wrap the shirt around the toe box and than spray the shoes and shirt than iron upwards

Need some midsole swap options for these. Making 97/1's. Leaning towards a sail midsole but that can be painted if necessary. Mainly worried about airbag color and really want a split outsole.
