Licensing for JJ is crazy from what I’ve been hearing. Supposedly Disney doesn’t own the rights and has to pay out the nose to get it and won’t budge but that’s just a rumor.

finished Monsters anime...

maybe its better to read the manga but the anime was just okay for me.
pacing is slow, animation and music was just decent,
the ending was also mediocre.... so Johan just escapes and we dont even get to know the twins real name...
also I didnt like how the story kept adding new characters even in the end.

Oh yeah its better to read the manga for any Urasawa joint.
Animes usually don't do well with such dense long form intricate stories.
