I think they threw that out the window when half of the crew went on ahead. But I would like to see more of Sabo in action with his new DF power

Another thing about one piece though, it seems the "matchup" idea has went out the window...I have literally no clue who is gonna be fighting who

I'm sure we'll see both of those fights, just won't be anytime soon. Probably near the end of the series if I had to guess.

I started re watching based on the renewed interest in this thread.

The strongest person in the verse had the Byakugan AND Sharingan tho. So obviously the Hyuuga and Uchiha bloodlines somehow both trace back to her (we already know that the Uchiha do)

I think Kishi gave it to her in order to rectify that statement. Remember that it was Kakashi's statement, not necessarily Kishi's statement. Kakashi also said that the Rinnegan was a random mutation

AND this dude still be drawing in the hospital. Does One Piece need to go on a real, HxH style hiatus so this dude can ACTUALLY recover from whatever the **** is wrong with him?

I'd prefer if Oda took a long hiatus rather than force himself every week to the point where he is unable to finish One Piece.


edit: I swore Oda was in his 50s. To work himself into the hospital so many times before even hitting 40 years old yet is insane.

Oda's current schedule is 3 weeks on then one week of break to stop him from overworking. The problem, especially with this arc, is he insists on drawing anything that moves, so with so many characters in the arc, he's drawing even more. The other problem is he only sleeps like 3 hours day because he says he can only think of great ideas when he thinks about them a lot without eating or sleeping, because he can only come up with new ideas when he's at his limit, so each week when he turns the chapter in he's exhausted. Here's the interview where he says that

What I'm getting at is don't take what characters say at face value unless they're expected to have knowledge on things, like Madara or Hashirama or the Sage himself. Kakashi don't know ****

Wow. I was aware of Oda's extreme, fanatical commitment to his masterpiece, but I didn't think he took it that far. Allowing yourself only 3 hours of sleep because there are too many ideas that need getting out? This man is the definition of genius
